CVS Ad 8/9: Best Sales & Deals

Here are the best deals I spotted in the CVS ad for August 9 - 15, 2015.  

Texas shoppers, remember that Tax Free weekend is August 7 - 9 this year!  So I recommend shopping on Sunday for the best deals.

Best deals in the 8/9 CVS ad

• Almay Makeup Remover -- click here to see how you can three packs for FREE, plus a whopping $2.03 in profit on your transaction!
• Irish Spring Signature or GEAR Body Wash or Bar Soap -- on sale 2 for $7, with $6 back in Extra Bucks when you spend $14 or more.  So buy four for $14, then use four $2 off coupons from the 7/26 Smartsource insert.  You'll pay $6 out of pocket for all four bottles or packs of soap, and then you'll get $6 back in Extra Bucks.  So all four are FREE!  NOTE: The $2 off coupons are limit two per transaction, so you'll have to split up your purchases into two transactions of two items each.  Luckily, your Extra Care card tracks your purchases, so your $6 in Extra Bucks will automatically print at the end of your second transaction!
• Oral-B Pulsar Cross-Action Power Toothbrush Refills -- on sale for $5.99 per 2-pack, with $3 back in Extra Bucks.  Use the $3 off coupon from the 7/26 P&G insert.  You'll pay $2.99 out of pocket, then get $3 back in Extra Bucks.  So that's FREE!  Limit 2 per Extra Care card.
• Paper-Mate Eagle or Write Bros Pens -- 8 to 10-count packs on sale for $1.29 each on Sunday & Monday ONLY.  Scan your Extra Care card at the CVS Coupon Center for a $1 off store coupon, then stack that with the 55 cents off coupon from the 7/26 Smartsource insert.  Your bag is FREE!  NOTE: CVS doesn't technically offer overage per their corporate coupon policy, so you may have your manufacturer coupon adjusted down.
• Paper-Mate Mechanical Pencils -- 5-count packs priced at 59 cents each.  Use the 55 cents off coupon from the 7/26 Smartsource insert, and get yours for just 4 cents per bag.
• Snickers -- on sale for 99 cents per candy bar.  Buy two for a pre-coupon price of $1.98, then scan your Extra Care card at the CVS Coupon Center for a 75 cents off coupon (limit one coupon per card.)  Stack this BOGO coupon (must take quiz) with the 75 cents off CVS coupon.  Your final price drops to 24 cents for both candy bars, or just 12 cents apiece!
• Suave Body Wash -- on sale for $2 per bottle, with $4 back in Extra Bucks when you spend $12 or more.  So buy six bottles for a pre-coupon price of $12, then use three BOGO coupons from the 7/26 Red Plum (expires 8/9, so shop Sunday for this one!)  You'll pay $6 out of pocket, then get your $4 back in Extra Bucks.  So your final price falls to $2 for all six bottles, or just 34 cents apiece.  NOTE: The BOGO coupon is limit two per transaction, so you'll have to split up your purchases into one transaction of four bottles, and another transaction of two bottles.  Luckily, your Extra Care card tracks your purchases, so your $4 in Extra Bucks will automatically print at the end of your second transaction!

• Colgate Toothbrushes -- assorted varieties on sale 2 for $6, with $4 back in Extra Bucks when you buy two.  Use two 50 cents off coupons from the 7/26 Smartsource insert.  You'll pay $5 out of pocket, and then you earn your $4 back in Extra Bucks for next time.  So that's a final price of $1 for both, or 50 cents apiece!
• Suave Professionals Hair Care -- select varieties on sale 2 for $6, with $2 back in Extra Bucks when you buy two bottles.  So buy two bottles for $6, then use the BOGO coupon from the 7/26 Red Plum insert (expires 8/9, so you have to shop Sunday for this one!)  You'll pay $3 out of pocket for both bottles, and then you'll earn your $2 back in Extra Bucks.  So your final price is $1 for both bottles, or just 50 cents apiece!
• VO5 Shampoo & Conditioner -- on sale for 75 cents per bottle.  Buy two for $1.50, then use the 50 cents off 2 coupon arriving in the 8/9 Smartsource insert.  Your new price falls to $1 for both bottles, or just 50 cents each.
• Caliber Security Envelopes -- 80-count box on sale for $1.59 TUESDAY only.  Scan your Extra Care card that day to score a $1 off CVS coupon.  So that's a final price of 59 cents!
• Caliber Wireless 1-Subject Notebook -- on sale for $1.69 WEDNESDAY only.  Scan your Extra Care card that day to score a $1 off CVS coupon. So get yours for a final price of 69 cents!
• Coca-Cola 2-Liters -- on sale for 99 cents each.  Scan your Extra Care card for a 24 cents off coupon, and pay 75 cents for yours.
• Arizona Tall Boy -- on sale for 79 cents per bottle.
• Ajax Dish Liquid or Powder Cleanser -- on sale for 88 cents apiece.
• Scotch Shipping Tape -- on sale for $1.99, with $1 back in Extra Bucks.  So your final price drops to just 99 cents!
• Xtra Liquid Laundry Detergent -- on sale 2 bottles for $2.99.  Use the $1 off 2 coupon from the 8/9 Smartsource insert.  You'll pay $1.99 out of pocket for both bottles, which works out to basically a buck per bottle.  If you don't buy this brand normally, consider donating these to your local homeless shelter or animal shelter -- they will love the donation!
• V8 Vegetable Juice -- on sale 2 bottles for $5, with $3 back in Extra Bucks when you spend $10 or more.  So buy four bottles for a pre-coupon price of $10, then use two $1 off 2 coupons from the 7/26 Smartsource inserts.  You'll pay $8 out of pocket for all four, and then you'll get your $3 back in Extra Bucks.  So your final price for all four drops to just $5, or $1.25 per bottle!
• Just the Basics Paper Towels (3-count packs) or Toilet Paper (4-count packs) -- on sale for $2.50 each, with $5 back in Extra Bucks when you spend $15 or more.  So buy six packs for $15, then get your $5 back in Extra Bucks.  That drops your final price down to $10 for all six packs, or $1.67 apiece.
• Bausch & Lomb Multipurpose Contact Solution -- on sale for $7.99, with $4 back in Extra Bucks.  Use this $2 off coupon.  You'll pay $5.99 out of pocket, then get your $4 in Extra Bucks for next time.  So that's a final price of $1.99 for yours!
• Viva Vantage Paper Towels -- on sale for $5.99 per 6-count pack, but click here to see how you can grab yours for a final price of $1.99 per pack instead!
• Just the Basics Purified Drinking Water -- 24-count packs on sale for $2.44 apiece.  So that's basically 10 cents per bottle, which is my recommended stockpile price for bottled water.  Limit 3 cases per transaction.
• Tide Detergent -- 19 to 32-load bottles on sale for $5.99 each, with $3 back in Extra Bucks when you spend $12 or more.  So buy two bottles for a pre-coupon price of $11.98 (CVS rounds up, so you will still earn your Extra Bucks) and use two $1 off coupons from the 7/26 P&G inserts.  You'll pay $9.98 out of pocket, and then get your $3 back in Extra Bucks.  So that's a final price of $6.98 for both bottles, or $3.49 apiece!
• Pampers Diapers -- on sale for $9.99 per jumbo pack, with $10 back in Extra Bucks when you spend $30 or more.  Buy three packs for a pre-coupon price of $29.97, which is still enough to trigger your Extra Bucks.  Use three of this $1.50 off coupon (sort by Baby & Toddler to find it fast.)  You'll pay $25.47 out of pocket for all three packs, and then you'll get your $10 in Extra Bucks for next time.  So your final price falls to $15.47 for all three packs, or just $5.16 per pack.
• Dermasilk -- Spend $20 or more, get $7 back in Extra Bucks.  No prices listed in ad, but use this 50% off coupon (sort by Personal Care to find it fast) and get a much better deal on yours.
• Gold Emblem abound Snack, Grocery, or Beverage Items -- Spend $20, get $5 back in Extra Bucks.  No prices listed in ad, but go here to print assorted Gold Emblem coupons that will get you an even better deal!
• CoverGirl Cosmetics -- Spend $15 or more, get $5 back in Extra Bucks.  No prices listed in ad, but use the $2 off 2 or $4 off 3 coupons from the 7/26 P&G insert for an even better deal.
• Physicians Formula -- Spend $10 or more, get $7 back in Extra Bucks.  
• e.l.f. Cosmetics -- Spend $10 or more, get $3 back in Extra Bucks, no prices listed in ad.
• Blue Diamond Almonds -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  Use two of this $2 off coupon (must share to print) and pay even less for yours!
