Walgreens Ad 8/2: Best Sales & Deals

Here are my picks for the best deals in the Walgreens ad for August 2 - 8, 2015!

Best back to school deals in the 8/2 Walgreens ad
  • Paper Mate Eagle Pens -- 10-count bags on sale for 29 cents each.  Buy two bags for 58 cents, then use the 55 cents off coupon from the 7/26 Smartsource insert.  Your bags will be two for three cents!  NOTE: Walgreens doesn't allow overage per their corporate coupon policy and/or may actually reject the coupon if you just buy a single bag, so that's why I recommend buying two.
  • Wexford Mini Highlighters or Paper Folders -- on sale for 14 cents each with in-ad coupon.
  • Sharpie Highlighters -- 4-count packs on sale for 99 cents each with in-ad coupon.  Stack the 75 cents off coupon from the 7/26 Smartsource insert and pay 24 cents for yours!
  • Wexford Erasers -- on sale for 25 cents per pack with in-ad coupon.
  • Wexford Index Cards or Protractors -- on sale for 29 cents each with in-ad coupon.
  • Wexford Compass or Pencil Sharpener -- on sale for 39 cents apiece with in-ad coupon.
  • Bic Cristal Pens -- on sale for 99 cents per bag with in-ad coupon.  Buy two and stack the $1 off 2 coupon arriving in the 8/2 Smartsource insert.  Your final price drops to 49 cents per bag!
  • Crayola Classic Markers OR Colored Pencils -- on sale for 99 cents per pack.
  • Wexford Construction Paper or Dry Erase Markers -- on sale for 99 cents per pack with in-ad coupon.
  • Backpacks -- on sale for $3.99 apiece.
  • Carolina Pad School Supplies -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.
  • Wexford Binders -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.
Best deals in the 78/2 Walgreens ad
  • Trident -- on sale for 79 cents per pack.  Buy three and use the $1 off 3 coupon from the 6/28 Smartsource insert.  That knocks your price down to 44 cents per pack.
  • Arizona Tea or Drink -- on sale 2 for $1 (must buy two to receive discount.)  So that's 50 cents apiece!
  • Nice! Aluminum Foil -- on sale for 89 cents per box with in-ad coupon.
  • Got2B Hair Stylers -- on sale for $3.99, with $1 back in Register Rewards.  Use the $2 off coupon from the 8/2 Red Plum insert.  You'll pay $1.99 out of pocket, and then you'll get your $1 in Register Rewards.  So your final price after all discounts is just 99 cents!
  • Assorted Kellogg's Cereal -- on sale 2 boxes for $4 (must buy two to receive discount.)  Use two $1 off coupons (points required) and pay a buck per box.
  • Keebler Cookies -- on sale 2 bags for $4 (must buy two to receive discount.)  Use two $1 off coupons (points required) and get yours for a dollar per bag.
  • Purex Laundry Detergent -- on sale 3 bottles for $6 (must buy three to receive discount.)  Use three $1 off coupons arriving in the 8/2 Red Plum inserts.  Your final price drops to 3 for $3, or just $1 per bottle!
  • M&M's Candies -- assorted varieties on sale 2 bags for $5.  Stack the $1 off 2 Walgreens coupon from the August 2015 coupon book (available at the front of the store) with the $1.50 off 2 coupon from the 7/12 Red Plum insert (this was a regional coupon, so not everyone will have received it.)  Your final price drops to $2.50 for both bags, or $1.25 apiece!
  • Purina Beneful Dog Food -- on sale for $5.99 per bag.  Buy two and use the BOGO coupon arriving in the 8/2 Red Plum insert.  That knocks your price down to $3 per bag.
  • Scott Toilet Paper -- 12-count packs of double rolls on sale for $5.99 each.  Stack the $1 off Walgreens coupon from the August 2015 coupon book (available at the front of the store) with the 75 cents off coupon from the 7/12 Smartsource insert.  Your price drops to $4.24 for your pack.  Next, submit for the 75 cents off Ibotta rebate.  Your final price drops to just $3.49 for your pack, which works out to 15 cents per regular-sized roll.  Great price!
  • Viva Paper Towels -- 6-packs priced at $5.99 each.  Stack the $1 off Walgreens coupon from the August 2015 coupon book with the 50 cents off coupon from the 7/12 Smartsource insert.  You'll pay $4.49 out of pocket, and then you can submit for the 75 cents off Ibotta rebate.  Your final price drops to $3.74 for your pack!
  • Starbucks K-Cups -- 10-count boxes on sale for $6.99 each.  Use the $2 off coupon from the 7/12 Smartsource and pay $4.99 for yours.  This is when I personally stock up!
  • Blue Diamond Almonds -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  Use this $2 off coupon (must share to print) and get yours for even less!
