Walgreens Ad 9/28: Best Sales & Deals

Here are my picks for the best deals in the Walgreens ad for September 28 - October 4, 2014.

Best deals in the 9/28 Walgreens ad

• Colgate Total Toothpaste -- click here to see how you can grab two tubes for free!
• ACT II Popcorn -- on sale for 25 cents per single pack with in-ad coupon.
• Children's Dimetapp or Children's Robitussin -- on sale for $4.99 per box, with 3000 Balance Reward points back when you buy two in the same transaction.  So buy two for a pre-coupon price of $9.98, then use two $3 off coupons from the 9/28 Red Plum inserts (these will be regional, so not everyone will receive them.)  You'll pay $3.98 out of pocket for both boxes, and then you'll get your 3000 Balance Reward points (like $3 in buying power) for a future transaction.  So that's like spending 98 cents for both boxes, or 49 cents each.
• Renuzit Adjustable Air Freshener Cones -- on sale for 89 cents each with in-ad coupon.  Buy three and stack this $1 off 3 coupon.  Your price will fall to 56 cents each.
• Comet Multi-Purpose Cleaner -- on sale for 59 cents per canister with in-ad coupon.
• Campbell's Chunky Soup -- on sale 2 cans for $3, with $1 back in Register Rewards when you buy two cans.  Use this 50 cents off 2 coupon to pay $2.50 out of pocket, then get your $1 back in Register Rewards.  So that's like $1.50 for both cans, or 75 cents each.
• Pantene Shampoo -- on sale 3 for $10, with 5000 Balance Reward points back when you spend $20 in a single transaction.  So buy 6 bottles for a pre-coupon price of $20, then use two $5 off 3 coupons from the 9/28 P&G insert.  You'll pay $10 out of pocket, then receive the 5000 Balance Reward points (like $5 in buying power) for a future transaction.  So your final price is $5 for 6 bottles, or 83 cents each!
• Crest Pro Health Mouthwash -- on sale for $3.99 per bottle, with $1.50 back in Register Rewards.  Use the $1.50 off coupon from the 9/28 P&G insert.  You'll pay $2.49 out of pocket, and then you'll have your $1.50 Register Reward for next time.  So that's like getting yours for 99 cents.

• Wet N Wild Fantasy Makers Lipstick -- on sale for $1.99 each.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 9/21 Smartsource insert, and get yours for just 99 cents.
• Capri Sun -- 10-count packs on sale 2 for $4 with in-ad coupon.  Stack the $1 off 2 coupon from the 8/3 Smartsource, and pay $1.50 per box instead.

• M&M's Chocolate Brand Candies -- on sale 2 bags for $5.  Stack the $1 off 2 Walgreens store coupon (available in the monthly coupon book) with this $1 off 2 coupon.  Your new price drops to $3 for 2 bags, or $1.50 each.
• Nutella Hazelnut Spread Jars -- on sale 2 for $6, with 1000 Balance Reward points back when you buy two in the same transaction.  So buy two and use two $1 off coupons from the 8/17 Smartsource insert.  You'll pay $4 out of pocket, and then you'll have $1 in buying power for next time.  So your final price is $3 for both jars, or $1.50 each.
• Advil Allergy and Congestion Relief -- on sale for $4.99 per box.  Use the $3 off coupon arriving in the 9/28 Red Plum insert, and get yours for just $1.99.
• Tide Laundry Detergent -- 24 to 32-load bottles on sale for $5.99 each, with 5000 Balance Reward points back when you spend $20 in a single transaction.  So buy four bottles for a pre-coupon price of $23.96, then use four $2 off coupons from the 9/28 P&G insert.  You'll pay $15.96 out of pocket, and then receive the 5000 Balance Reward points for a future transaction.  So that's like spending $10.96 for four bottles, or $2.74 each!
