Naturally, that means I've been paying even closer attention to new clearance sales online than I normally do -- and tonight I found not one, but two dresses that are in my wedding colors on the Target website!
The Moroccan Blue Mossimo Elbow Sleeve Pleat Dress matches my shade of blue exactly, and I figure it would dress up easily with some nice jewelry. And it has pockets!
It's on sale for $14.98, down 50% off from the usual price of $29.99.
On the other hand, the Merona Pleated Cowl Neck dress is a mere $9.78 (!!), down 65% from the regular price of $27.99. I think this would look amazing with my new Coach purse and some fancy heels.
I think the pleats on the gray dress are a little dressier, but I suspect the blue dress will be more flattering to wear.
Which do you think I should get? Or do you think I should order both and return one later if necessary?

ReplyDeleteI like the gray. The fabric looks more dressy then the blue. Besides you could put a chunky belt with it and you'll look fabulous. You could buy some blue shoes for a punch of color that stays within your wedding colors.

ReplyDeleteThe gray one is by far prettier,and dressier. I actually think it would be more flattering as well. HOWEVER, I would order both (at the prices you would pay, it will still cost less than one dress at original price) and then you can try them both on and see which you like best. You could maybe wear one for the rehearsal and one for the bridal shower or bachelorette party.
I vote gray. LaRay has some very good points or "excuses" to get both. If only choosing one....Gray Gray Gray Gray!!!

ReplyDeleteSince they are both on clearance, you might want to purchase both and try on to see which one looks better on you. The one you decide not to keep can be returned at any target store with the shipping receipt. Personally I like the gray one. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteThe vote above is for Grey, however, you think the blue will be more flattering, I would like to know why? I was going to vote for BLUE. I think it's a happier color and the grey can be drab. You want to stand out as the bride, correct? The purse will not be on your arm all evening and the shoes will be hidden under the table while eating. IF you can dress up the blue, I'd say go for the blue!

Wear the one you like the best for the event.. You will have a reason to wear the other one sooner or later. You are only getting married this one time!! go for it, SPLURGE!! (ha ha, splurging clearance items!! LOL)I know thats hard to do with your money saving mentality, but this is your wedding!! And it's not like you are asking between 2 $1000.00 dresses..
