Heads-up for military personnel -- Starbucks is giving away free tall brewed coffee on Monday, November 11 in honor of Veterans Day!
The freebie can be scooped up by active duty military personnel, veterans, and also military spouses. Please note that this is for black coffee only -- handcrafted beverages like lattes, holiday drinks, or Frappuccinos are *not* included.
Also keep in mind you'll need to come in uniform or show proof of ID to score your free drink.
Starbucks will donate 25 cents for every cup of brewed coffee sold nationwide on Veterans Day to be split equally between non-profits Team Rubicon, for their work mobilizing veterans to respond to disasters and humanitarian crises around the world, and Team Red, White and Blue, for their “Ending Isolation” campaign.
That may not sound like a lot, but as a former Starbucks manager, I can tell you that the company sells an absolute ton of brewed coffee every day. I legit would not be surprised if the two non-profits wound up with a combined donation around the million-dollar mark as a result of this one day promotion.
