Walgreens Ad 3/8: Best Sales & Deals

Here are my picks for the best deals in the Walgreens ad for March 8 - 14, 2015.

Best deals in the 3/8 Walgreens ad

• Walgreens Points Booster -- Between Sunday, March 8 and Tuesday, March 10, you can get an additional 5000 Balance Rewards points (like $5 in buying power) when you spend $30 or more before manufacturer coupons but after Walgreens store coupons.  You'll also need to clip the coupon, which will be in your weekly ad available either in the store or in your Sunday paper.  I'll put together a deal scenario for you at the bottom of the post!
• Irish Spring Body Wash -- on sale 2 bottles for $7, with $3 back in Extra Bucks.  If Irish Spring GEAR or Signature is included, use two of the $2 off coupons from the 2/22 Smartsource insert.  You'll pay $3 out of pocket, then get $3 back in Register Rewards.  So both bottles will be free!
• Easter Novelty Candy -- single-serve packs on sale 2 for $1.  Since Starburst and Life Savers jelly beans are featured in the ad, you could buy eight for $4, then use two of this $2 off 3 coupon (sort by Food to find it fast.)  You'll get all eight for free!
• Trident or Stride Gum -- on sale 3 packs for $2, with 1000 Balance Rewards points back when you buy three in the same transaction.  So that's like getting 3 packs for $1, or 34 cents apiece.
• Suave Hair Care -- select varieties on sale for $3 per bottle, but click here to see how you can grab yours for 50 cents each!
• 7UP, A&W, Sunkist, and Canada Dry -- on sale for $1 per 2-liter.  If your store sells the TEN varieties, buy two for $2, then use this $1 off 2 coupon (sort by Beverages to find it fast.)  Your price falls to 50 cents per bottle!
• Arizona Tea or Drink -- on sale 2 for $1 with in-ad coupon, which works out to 50 cents each.
• Clorox Wipes or Toilet Bowl Cleaner -- on sale 2 for $5, with 1000 Balance Rewards points back when you buy two in the same transaction.  Use two of this $1.25 off coupon (limited daily prints) and pay $2.50 out of pocket for both, then get your $1 in buying power back for a future purchase.  So that's like $1.50 for both, or 75 cents each!
• Starburst or Life Savers Jelly Beans -- on sale for $2 per 13 oz or 14 oz bag.  Buy six for a pre-coupon price of $12, then stack the $1 off 2 Walgreens coupon from the March coupon book (will subtract $3) with two $2 off 3 coupons (sort by Food to find them fast.)  So you'll pay $5 for all six bags, or just 83 cents each!
• Equal Sweetener -- 115-count boxes on sale for $1.89 with in-ad coupon.  Stack the $1 off coupon from the 1/4 Smartsource insert, and grab yours for just 89 cents.
• Smile & Save Paper Plates -- on sale for 99 cents per pack with in-ad coupon.
• Softsoap Body Wash or Liquid Hand Soap -- on sale for $3.49 each, with $1.50 back in Register Rewards.  Use the 75 cents off coupon from the 2/22 Smartsource insert.  Your final price drops to $1.24.
• M&Ms -- on sale 2 bags for $5.  Stack the $1 off 2 Walgreens coupon from the March coupon book with the $1 off 2 coupon from the 3/1 Red Plum insert.  So your price drops to $3 for both bags, or $1.50 each!
• Domino Sugar -- 4 lb bags on sale for $1.89 each with in-ad coupon.  Buy two and stack this 75 cents off 2 coupon.  Your new price drops to $1.51 per bag!
• Kellogg's Raisin Bran -- on sale 2 boxes for $5, with 1000 Balance Reward points back (like $1 in buying power) when you buy two in the same transaction.  If you find enough stock in store, buy six boxes for $12.50, plus two gallons of milk for $6.58.  All eight items will be a pre-coupon price of $19.08.  Use two $1.50 off coupons from the 3/1 Red Plum, good on milk when you buy three boxes of Raisin Bran.  You'll pay $16.08 for everything, plus earn 3000 Balance Reward points (like $3 in buying power.)  So that's a final price of $13.08 for all eight items, or just $2.01 each!
• Scott Naturals Paper Towels -- 6-count packs on sale for $4.99 each.  Stack the $1 off Walgreens coupon from the March coupon book with the 75 cents off coupon arriving in the 3/8 Smartsource insert.  Your price drops to $3.24 per pack!
• Select Fragrances -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.

Walgreens Points Booster Scenario

• Buy six boxes of Raisin Bran, two gallons of milk, two bottles of Irish Spring GEAR Body Wash (if included in sale), and two bottles of Suave Hair Care.
• All twelve items will be a pre-coupon price of $32.08.
• Give the Points Booster coupon, along with the two $1.50 off milk coupons from the 3/1 Red Plum insert, the two $2 off Irish Spring coupons from the 2/22 Smartsource insert, and the $3 off 2 Suave coupon arriving in the 3/8 Red Plum insert.
• You'll pay $22.08 out of pocket, plus then you'll get 10,000 Balance Rewards points back (like $10 in buying power) plus $3 in Register Rewards.  
• So your final price is $9.08 for all 12 items, or just 76 cents each!
