Walgreens Ad 11/2: Best Sales & Deals

Here are my picks for the best deals in the Walgreens ad for November 2 - 8, 2014.

Best deals in the 11/2 Walgreens ad


  • Zantac 150 -- 24-count boxes on sale for $8.99 each.  We should have a Try Me Free rebate available to print by November 2 (NOTE: The rebate isn't available yet!) So free after rebate!  It looks like we'll also have a $4 off coupon in the 11/2 Smartsource, but I expect that to just lower our out-of-pocket costs, not convert into a money-maker after rebate.
  • Accu-Chek Aviva Plus Blood Glucose Monitor -- on sale for $14.99, with a $14.99 rebate in the box.  So yours is free!
  • Trident Gum -- on sale for 69 cents per pack.  Buy two and use the $1 off 2 coupon from the 10/12 Smartsource insert.  Your price drops to just 19 cents per pack!  UPDATE: Click here to see how you can get two packs for free on Sunday, November 2 only.
  • Jell-O Gelatin or Instant Pudding -- on sale 2 boxes for $1 with in-ad coupon.  Stack this 55 cents off 2 coupon, and pay just 23 cents per box.
  • Carmex Original Lip Balms -- on sale 4 for $4, with 1000 Balance Reward points back when you buy four in the same transaction.  Use two $1 off 2 coupons from the 10/19 Smartsource insert (this was a regional coupon, so not everyone will have received it.)  You'll pay $2 out of pocket, then get your 1000 Balance Reward points back for a future purchase (like $1 in buying power.)  So your final price is $1 for 4, or 25 cents each!
  • Butterball Turkey Bacon -- on sale for $1.29 per pack.  Use this $1 off coupon and pay 29 cents for yours.
  • 7UP, Canada Dry, A&W and Dr Pepper Soda -- 2-liter bottles on sale 2 for $3.  If your store carries the TEN lineup, buy two of those, and use two of this $1 off coupon (must share to print.)  That knocks your price down to 50 cents per 2-liter.
  • Carnation Evaporated Milk -- on sale for 99 cents with in-ad coupon.  Buy two cans and stack this 55 cents off 2 coupon.  That knocks your price down to 73 cents per can.
  • Bisquick -- on sale 2 boxes for $3.  Use two of this 50 cents off coupon (sort by Food to find it fast), then submit for the 50 cents SavingStar rebate.  That knocks your price down to $1.50 for both boxes, or 75 cents apiece!
  • Sunny Smile Paper Plates -- 72-count packs on sale for 99 cents each.
  • Mead Envelopes -- 100-count boxes on sale for 99 cents each with in-ad coupon.
  • Glade Air Fresheners -- assorted items on sale 2 for $6, with $2 back in Register Rewards.  Use this $2 off 2 coupon (registration required) and pay $4 out of pocket, then get your $2 in Register Rewards back for next time.  So that's a final price of 2 for $2, or a buck apiece!
  • Betty Crocker Frosting and Cake Mix -- on sale 2 for $3.  Buy one of each, then use this $1 off 2 coupon.  Your new price drops to a dollar per item.
  • Domino Sugar -- 4lb bags on sale for $1.79 each with in-ad coupon.  Buy two and stack this $1 off 2 coupon (it popped up on page 2 for me.)  That knocks your price down to $1.29 per bag, which is a good price for sugar!
  • Tresemme Hair Care -- on sale for $3.99 per 32 oz bottle, with 1000 Balance Rewards points (like $1 in buying power) when you buy two in the same transaction.  So buy two bottles for $7.98, then use two $2 off coupons from the 11/2 Red Plum insert.  You'll pay $3.98 for both, then get your 1000 Balance Reward points for next time.  So that's a final price of $2.98 for both, or $1.49 apiece.
  • Nestle Toll House Morsels -- on sale 2 bags for $4 with in-ad coupon.  Stack the $1 off 2 coupon from the 9/28 Smartsource insert, and pay $1.50 per bag instead.
  • NoDoz Alertness Aid -- on sale for $8, with 3000 Balance Reward points back.  Use the $3 off coupon from the 11/2 Smartsource insert.  Your final price falls to $2 per box.
  • Angel Soft Toilet Paper -- 9-count pack of big rolls (like 13 regular-size rolls) priced at $2.99.  Use the 45 cents off coupon from the 11/2 Red Plum insert and pay $2.54 for yours.  That works out to about 19 cents per regular-size roll.
  • Ensure Regular -- 6-count packs on sale 2 for $15.98, with $2 back in Register Rewards.  Use two of this $3 off coupon (registration required) and pay $9.98 out of pocket, then get your $2 in Register Rewards.  So your final price drops to $7.98 for both 6-packs, or $3.99 each.  NOTE: This deal is a little better at CVS this week.
  • Wisk Laundry Detergent -- assorted sizes on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  Use this 50 cents off coupon to drop your price even further.
