Walgreens Ad 10/5: Best Sales & Deals

Here are my picks for the best deals in the Walgreens ad for October 5 - 11, 2014.

Best deals in the 10/5 Walgreens ad

  • Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash -- click here to see how you can get two for free!
  • Advil PM -- 4-count packs on sale for $1 each.  We should be seeing a $1 off Advil PM coupon in the 10/5 Red Plum insert with no size exclusions.  If you receive that, your box will be free!
  • PROCure Bruise Remedy -- on sale for $7, with $7 back in Register Rewards.  So free!
  • Halloween Pencils -- on sale 8 for $1 with in-ad coupon.  So that works out to 13 cents per pencil.
  • Prego Italian Sauce -- on sale 2 jars for $3.  Buy four jars for a pre-coupon total of $6 and use two 40 cents off coupons from the 9/7 Smartsource insert.  You'll pay $5.20 out of pocket.  Next, submit for this $3.50 off rebate.  Your new price drops to $1.70 for everything, which works out to 43 cents per jar!
  • Halls Cough Drops -- 30-count bags on sale 2 for $3.  Use the $1 off 2 coupon from the 10/5 Smartsource insert, then submit for the $1 off 2 Checkout 51 rebate (good through Wednesday, October 8 only.)  Your new price drops to $1 for both bags, or 50 cents each!
  • Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bar Multipack -- 6-count packs on sale 3 for $4.  If you have multiple computers, you could buy 6 packs for a pre-coupon price of $8, then use three $1 off 2 coupons.  That drops your price down to $5 for 6 packs, or 83 cents each.
  • Arrid XX Dry or Arm & Hammer Deodorant -- on sale for 99 cents each.
  • Brach's Autumn Candy -- on sale 2 bags for $3.  Use the $1 off 2 coupon from the Walgreens monthly coupon book, and pay a buck per bag instead.
  • Hershey's Snack Size Bags of Candy -- on sale for $2.49 each.  Buy three for a pre-coupon price of $7.47, and stack the $1.50 off 3 coupon from the 9/28 Smartsource insert with the 50 cents off Walgreens coupon from the monthly coupon book (will take off 50 cents per bag.)  So you'll save $3 off after coupons, which means you'll pay $4.47 for all three bags.  That works out to $1.49 per bag!
  • Glad Cling Wrap or Nice Aluminum Foil -- on sale 2 for $4 with in-ad coupon, which works out to $2 per box.  Buy two of the Glad Cling Wrap for $4, then submit for this $1 off 2 Snap by Groupon rebate.  Your new price drops to $3 for both, or $1.50 each.
  • Domino Sugar -- 4 lb bags on sale for $1.99 each with in-ad coupon.  Buy two and stack that in-ad coupon with this 75 cents off 2 coupon.  Your new price drops to $1.62 per bag.
  • Arnicare Pain Relief Cream -- on sale for $7.99 per box.  Stack the $3 off Walgreens coupon from the monthly coupon book with the $3 off coupon from the 10/5 Red Plum insert.  Your new price falls to $1.99.
  • Purex Laundry Detergent -- 24 to 33-load bottles or 18-count bags of UltraPacks on sale Buy 1 at $5.99, Get 2 Free.  So that's 3 for $5.99, or $2 each, with NO coupons necessary.  Great deal!
  • Glad OdorShield Bags with Febreze Freshness -- assorted size boxes on sale for $7.99.  Use this $1 off coupon to pay $6.99 out of pocket, then submit for the $1 Snap by Groupon rebate.  Your final price drops to $5.99.
  • Purex Crystals -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  Use the $1.50 off 2 coupon from the 10/5 Red Plum for an even lower price.
  • Hefty One Zip Slider Bags -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  Use the $1.50 off 2 coupon from the 8/10 Red Plum insert for an even better deal.
  • Simple Cleanser or Moisturizer -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  Use this $2 off coupon to knock your price down even further.
  • Right Guard Xtreme Deodorant -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  Use the $2 off 2 coupon from the 10/5 Red Plum insert to pay even less for yours.
  • Blue Diamond Almonds -- 6 oz cans on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.
