Walgreens Ad 7/13: Best Sales & Deals

Here are my picks for the best deals in the Walgreens ad for July 13 - 19, 2014.

Best 4th of July deals in the 7/13 Walgreens ad

  • Walgreens Points Booster Coupon -- Watch for an in-ad coupon good for an additional 5000 Balance Rewards (like $5 in buying power) when you spend $25 or more in a single transaction July 13 - 15 only.  Typically, your minimum of $25 is AFTER any other Walgreens store coupons, but BEFORE manufacturer coupons.  Also, note you can't use Balance Reward points when paying for your purchase, or your bonus 5000 points won't be put onto your account.
  • Walgreens Points Booster Coupon -- watch for this coupon in the weekly ad as well.  If this coupon is available in your area, scan it ONCE at the register, and you will receive 50 points for every $1 spent on Beauty/Personal Care items now through August 30, 2014.  The fine print says the following categories are included: Cosmetics, Beauty, Skin Care, Oral Care, Hair Care, Grooming, Bath, Acne Care, Fragrance, and Travel/Trial. 
  • Nestle Crunch Bars -- click here to see how you can get paid up to $4.16 in profit to buy yours!
  • Schweppes Seltzer Water -- on sale for $1 per bottle, with $1 back in Register Rewards.  So free!
  • Wexford Highlighters or 2-Pocket Folders -- on sale for 14 cents each with in-ad coupon.
  • Penway Crayons -- 24-count packs on sale for 49 cents each.
  • Wexford Scissors or 1-Subject Notebooks -- on sale for 49 cents each.
  • Butterball Turkey Bacon -- on sale for $1.49 per pack.  Use this $1 off coupon and get yours for just 49 cents instead.
  • Arizona Iced Tea -- on sale 2 bottles for $1, which works out to 50 cents apiece.
  • Penway Colored Pencils -- 12-count packs on sale for 79 cents each.
  • Wexford Filler Paper -- on sale for 79 cents per pack.
  • Fixodent -- on sale for $4.49 per tube, with $2.50 back in Register Rewards.  Use this $1 off coupon (sort by Personal Care to find it fast) and get yours for a final price of 99 cents.
  • Starbucks Bottled Iced Coffee -- 4-packs on sale for $3.99 each.  Use this $1 off coupon (sort by Beverages to find it fast) and pay $2.99 for yours.
  • Pampers Super Pack -- on sale for $24.99, with 2000 Balance Reward points back.  I recommend also buying the Schweppes Seltzer Water for $1, so you can use the Points Booster coupon above.  So the two items will ring up at a pre-coupon price of $25.99.  Stack the Points Booster coupon along with the $3 off Pampers coupon from the 7/6 P&G insert.  You'll pay $21.99 out of pocket, and then you'll receive 7000 in Balance Reward points (like $7 in buying power!) plus $1 in Register Rewards.  So that's like paying just $13.99 for your Super Pack and your seltzer water!
  • Gerber Good Start Formula -- on sale for $25.99 per container.  Use this $3 off coupon (sort by Baby & Toddler to find it fast) and stack it with the Points Booster described at the top of the post.  You'll pay $22.99 out of pocket, and then you'll receive your 5000 Balance Rewards points.  So that's like paying $17.99 for yours, which is a great price for this brand!
  • Rio 2 -- on sale for either $14.99 (DVD only) or $19.99 (Blu-Ray Combo Pack) beginning Tuesday, July 15.  Plus, snag a free 3-count box of Orville Redenbacher Pop-Up Popcorn Bowls with purchase!
  • Backpacks -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.
  • Mead Five Star Notebooks -- on BOGO sale.  No prices listed in ad, but use the $1 off 2 coupon from the 7/6 P&G insert for additional discounts.
  • Purex Laundry Detergent -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  
  • Sunny Smile Toilet Paper or Napkins -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.
  • Right Guard or Tone Body Wash -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  Use this $1.50 off 2 Tone coupon for additional savings.
  • Dry Idea or Right Guard Deodorant -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  If Dry Idea StainClear is included, use the $2 off coupon from the 6/15 Red Plum insert (expires 7/13!) to drop your price even lower.  Otherwise, you can use this $2 off 2 Right Guard coupon (sort by Personal Care to find it fast) and get a lower price that way.
