Walgreens Ad 6/8: Best Freebies, Sales & Deals

Here are my picks for the best freebies and deals in the Walgreens ad for June 8 - 14, 2014.

Best deals in the 6/8 Walgreens ad

• Kellogg's Breakfast To Go Shakes -- on sale for $1.99 per drink, with $1.99 back in Register Rewards.  So free!
• Walgreens Points Booster -- Get 5000 extra Balance Reward points (like $5 in buying power) with any $25 purchase and in-ad coupon June 8 - 10 only!
• Balance Bars -- on sale 5 for $5 (must buy five to receive discount.)  Buy 10 and use three of this $1 off 3 coupon (multiple computers required.)  Your price drops to $7 for all 10, or 70 cents per bar.
• Mitchum or Lady Mitchum Deodorant -- on sale for $2.99 each.  Use the $2 off coupon from the 6/8 Smartsource insert, and snag yours for 99 cents instead.
• Palmolive Dish Detergent -- on sale for 99 cents per bottle with in-ad coupon.
• Xtra Laundry Detergent -- on sale for $1.49 per bottle with in-ad coupon.
• Oral-B Pulsar Toothbrush -- on sale for $5.99, with $3 back in Register Rewards.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 6/1 P&G insert, and get yours for $1.99 instead.
• HERSHEYS Spreads -- on sale 2 for $5, with 1000 Balance Reward points back when you buy two in the same transaction.  So buy two, and use two of this 50 cents off coupon (sort by Food to find it fast.)  That knocks your final price down to $1.50 per jar after coupons and Balance Reward points.
• Simple Face Wipes -- on BOGO 50% off sale, no prices listed in ad.  However, the 25-count packs are priced at the Walgreens website for around $5.79 each.  So buy two for $8.69 or so, then use two of these $2 off coupons (sort by Personal Care to find it fast.)  That knocks your price down to $4.69 for both, or $2.34 each!
• Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick or Gloss -- on sale for $6.99, with $4 back in Register Rewards.  So that's a final price of $2.99 for yours.
• Swisse Vitamins or Supplements -- assorted varieties on sale for $7.99 per bottle.  Use the $5 off coupon from the June 2014 Walgreens coupon book, and pay $2.99 instead.
• Garnier Olia Oil Powered Hair Color -- on sale for $7.99 per box, with 3000 Balance Reward points back when you buy two boxes.  So buy two boxes for a pre-coupon price of $15.98, then use two $3 off coupons from the 5/11 Red Plum insert.  After coupons and Balance Rewards, your new price drops to $3.49 per box.  That's more than 50% off!
• Glad Trash Bags -- on sale for $7.49 per 34-80 count box.  You can go here to play for a $1 off Glad coupon -- if you win one, you can stack it with the $1 off coupon from the June 2014 Walgreens coupon book.  That knocks your price down to $5.49 per box, or as little as 7 cents per bag!

Here's just one suggested deal scenario to consider using the Walgreens Points Booster coupon:

• Buy one Revlon lipstick, one bottle of Kellogg's To Go breakfast shake, one Mitchum deodorant, and two boxes of Garnier Olia hair color for a pre-coupon price of $27.95.
• Use the Walgreens Points Booster coupon, the $2 off Mitchum coupon from the 6/8 Smartsource, and two $3 Garnier Olia coupons from the 5/11 Red Plum insert.
• You'll pay $22.95 out of pocket for all five items, and then you'll receive $5.99 in Register Rewards, and 8000 Balance Reward points.
• So that's like a final price of $8.96 for all five items -- or $1.79 per item!
