Walgreens Ad 3/30: Best Sales & Deals

Here are my picks for the best deals in the Walgreens ad for March 30 - April 5, 2014.

If you're new to shopping at Walgreens, check out my how-to guide to get yourself up to speed!  Walgreens is slightly quirky with their policies, so you'll want to be fully prepped before you hit the store.


Best deals in the 3/30 Walgreens ad

  • Starbucks Iced Coffee -- on sale 4 bottles for $5 with in-ad coupon.  There were $1 off tearpad coupons floating around that expire on 3/31.  If you happen to have four, you can stack them with the in-ad coupon and pay a quarter per bottle!
  • Butterball Turkey Bacon -- priced at $1.29 per pack.  Use this $1 off coupon and pay 29 cents for yours.
  • Dawn Dishwashing Liquid -- on sale for 99 cents each with in-ad coupon.  Buy two and use the $1 off 2 coupon from the 3/2 P&G insert (expires 3/31.)  That gets your price down to 49 cents each.
  • Dove Hair Care -- click here to see how you can grab bottles for 50 cents apiece!
  • Butterball Chicken Broth -- on sale for 50 cents per can with in-ad coupon.
  • Hunt's Tomato Sauce -- on sale for 50 cents per can with in-ad coupon.
  • Gatorade -- 32 oz bottles on sale 6 for $6 with in-ad coupon, plus 1000 Balance Reward points back when you buy six in the same transaction.  So after your Balance Reward points, that's like paying $5 for all 6 bottles, or 83 cents apiece.
  • Zim's Max-Freeze -- on sale for $6.99, with $4 back in Extra Bucks.  Use the $2 off coupon arriving in the 3/30 Smartsource insert, and your final price drops to 99 cents.
  • Ragu Pasta Sauce -- on sale 2 jars for $3 with in-ad coupon.  So buy two and use the $1 off 2 coupon from the 3/9 Red Plum insert.  That knocks your price down to a dollar per jar.
  • Brach's Jelly Beans -- on sale 2 bags for $3.  Use the $1 off 2 coupon in the April Walgreens coupon book, and pay a buck per bag for yours.
  • Scrubbing Bubbles, Windex, or Shout -- on sale 2 for $6, with 1000 Balance Reward points back for each two you buy in the same transaction.  So buy four for a pre-coupon price of $12, then use this $3 off 4 coupon.  Next, submit for the following three Checkout 51 offers: 75 cents off Windex, 75 cents off Shout, and 75 cents off Scrubbing Bubbles.  Your final price is $6.75, plus 2000 Balance Reward points (like $2 in buying power.)  So that's like paying $4.75 for 4, or just $1.19 each.  Plus, remember that new Checkout 51 users will receive an extra $2 bonus when they submit their first receipt!
  • Eggs -- on sale for $1.29 per dozen.
  • Tampax Pearl Tampons -- on sale 2 boxes for $8.  Buy two and use two $2 off coupons from the 3/2 P&G insert (expires 3/31.)  Your price drops to two bucks per box.
  • Gillette Mach3 Razor -- on sale for $7.99, with $2 back in Register Rewards.  Use the $3 off coupon from the 3/9 Red Plum insert and grab yours for $2.99.
  • Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues -- on sale for $16.99 per DVD beginning Tuesday, April 1.
  • Well Beginnings Diapers -- Jumbo Packs on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.
  • Sun Laundry Detergent -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.
  • Eucerin or Aquaphor -- Spend $20 or more, get $10 back in Register Rewards.  Use the $1.50 off coupons from the 3/30 Smartsource insert to get an even better deal.
