If you plan to become a regular couponer here, I strongly recommend building a personal relationship with your store's general manager so the cashiers don't freak out at the sight of your coupon binder.
Bringing a copy of the Dollar General coupon policy is always a smart idea too!

- ALPO canned dog food -- on sale for 67 cents per can. Buy three and use this B2G1 Free coupon (sort by Pets to find it fast.) That knocks your price down to around 44 cents each.
- Barilla pasta -- on sale for $1 per box. Buy two and use this $1 off 2 coupon. Your new price falls to 50 cents each.
- Clover Valley canned vegetables -- on sale 2 cans for $1 (must buy 2 cans to get discount.) So that works out to 50 cents each.

- Stayfree maxi pads -- on sale for $3 per bag, with a free bag of Carefree liners with purchase. Use this $1 off coupon and pay a buck per item instead.
