Here are my picks for the best deals in the Walgreens ad for August 18 - 24, 2013.

Back to school deals in the 8/18 Walgreens ad

• Bic Briteliner highlighter -- on sale for 79 cents per pack with in-ad coupon.  Stack the $1 off coupon from the 8/4 Smartsource insert and get yours for free!
• Wexford erasers -- on sale for 34 cents per pack with in-ad coupon.
• Sharpie permanent markers -- on sale for 39 cents each.
• Wexford invisible tape -- on sale for 39 cents each with in-ad coupon.
• Wexford index cards -- on sale for 39 cents per pack.
• Paper Mate mechanical pencils -- 5-count packs on sale for 49 cents each.

• Dove deodorant -- assorted varieties on sale 2 for $5, with 1000 Balance Rewards points back with purchase (like $1 in buying power.)  So buy two and use the $3 off 2 Dove coupon from the 8/18 Red Plum insert.  Your final price after coupons and Balance Rewards works out to $1 for both -- or just 50 cents each!
• Pure Silk shave cream -- 8 oz bottle on sale for $1.29.  Use the 40 cents off coupon from the 8/4 Red Plum insert and get yours for 89 cents instead.
• Pepsodent or Aim toothpaste -- on unadvertised sale for 89 cents per tube.
• Mitchum or Lady Mitchum deodorant -- on sale for $1.99 each.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 8/18 Smartsource insert and score yours for 99 cents.
• Purell hand sanitizer -- 8 oz bottle on sale for $2.99.  Stack the $1 off Walgreens coupon available in the August 2013 Walgreens coupon book with the $1 off coupon from the 7/28 Smartsource insert.  Your price drops to just 99 cents.
• Domino sugar -- 1 lb canisters on unadvertised BOGO sale 2 for $1.99.  So that's a final price of 99 cents each.
• Quaker cereal -- on sale for $1.75 per box.  Buy two and use the $1 off 2 coupon from the 8/4 Red Plum insert.  Your new price falls to $1.25 per box.
• Nectresse no-cal sweetener -- 40-count box on sale for $2.99 each.  Use this $1.50 off coupon and pay $1.49 instead.
• Welch's Concord grape jelly -- 32 oz jar on sale 2 for $4.  Use the $1 off 2 coupon from the 7/28 Red Plum and get yours for $1.50 each.
