CVS Ad 5/5: Best Sales & Deals

Here are the best freebies and deals I spotted in the CVS ad for May 5 - 11, 2013.

Freebies in the May 5 CVS ad scan

• Physicians Formula cosmetics -- Save $6 off any item regularly priced at $6.49 or more.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 3/10 Smartsource insert, and get anything priced under $7 for free!  Note: many stores sell the Physicians Formula concealer sticks for around the $6.79 mark.

Best deals in the May 5 CVS ad scan

• Kleenex -- assorted size boxes priced at 99 cents each.  Scan your Extra Care card at the magic coupon machine for a 25 cents off coupon.  Your new price drops to 74 cents per box.
• Mitchum or Lady Mitchum deodorant -- on sale for $1.99 each.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 5/5 Smartsource and get yours for 99 cents.
• Special K cereal -- on sale 3 boxes for $9, with $3 back in Extra Bucks when you buy three.  Use the $1 off 3 coupon from the 4/7 Red Plum insert, and your final price drops to $1.67 per box.
• Bic Soleil disposable razors -- 4-count packs on sale for $6.99, with $2 back in Extra Bucks.  Use the $3 off coupon from the 5/5 Smartsource insert, and your final price drops to $1.99.
• Spoiled nail tote with flip-flops or Wet N Wild nail pail -- on sale for $9.99, with $4 back in Extra Bucks.  So that's like paying $5.99 for a great summer gift idea.
• Designer fragrances -- perfumes priced $12.99 and up are on BOGO 50% off sale. Scan your Extra Care card at the magic coupon machine for a $5 off $20 coupon on perfumes, and get an even better deal.
• Revlon cosmetics -- Buy 2 and get $5 back in Extra Bucks.  Use two of the $1 off coupons from the 4/28 Smartsource for extra savings.
• iTunes or Gap gift cards -- Spend $50 or more, get $10 back in Extra Bucks.
• Aquaphor or Eucerin products -- Spend $20 or more, get $10 back in Extra Bucks.  Use this $1 off Aquaphor coupon or this $2 off Eucerin coupon to get an even lower price.
• Nexxus hair care -- Spend $20 or more, get $10 back in Extra Bucks.
• Hallmark products -- Spend $20 or more, get $5 back in Extra Bucks.  Use this $3 off 3 CVS coupon for an even better deal.
• Simple skin care -- Spend $15 or more, get $5 back in Extra Bucks.  It looks like the current issue of Reinventing Beauty (sold at CVS) will have a $1 off coupon inside.
• Sally Hansen cosmetics -- Spend $10 or more, get $5 back in Extra Bucks.  We should see a coupon in the 5/5 Red Plum insert for $4 off any $4.99 item or higher -- so pair two of those back to this deal for an exceptional price (and possibly a money-maker!)
• Rimmel cosmetics -- Spend $10 or more, get $3 back in Extra Bucks.  Use the $1 off coupons from the 4/7 or 4/28 Red Plum inserts for additional discounts.
