If you plan to become a regular couponer here, I strongly recommend building a personal relationship with your store's general manager so the cashiers don't freak out at the sight of your coupon binder.
Bringing a copy of the Dollar General coupon policy is always a smart idea too!
Best deals in the Dollar General ad 2/17 - 2/24/12
- Presidents Day coupon -- Save $5 off your purchase of $25 or more on February 17 - 18 only. The coupon is in the ad and the fine print clearly says the cashier should scan it before any other manufacturer coupons!
- Salonpas Pain Relieving patch -- 20-count box on sale for $2. Use this $2 off coupon and get yours for free!
- Clover Valley kidney or pinto beans -- on sale for 65 cents per can.
- Honey Bunches of Oats -- priced at $2 per box. Use the $1 off coupon from the 1/6 Smartsource insert (expires on February 17) and pay a buck for yours. *stockpile price*
- Sun laundry detergent -- 150oz bottles priced at $3.95 each. That works out to about seven cents a load without coupons!
- Scott paper towels -- 6-roll pack on sale for $5. Use the $1 off coupon from the 1/13 Smartsource (expires February 23) and pay $4 for yours. If you have enough Scott coupons to go around, you could buy five packs and stack the $5 off $25 Dollar General coupon with five of the $1 off Scott coupons. Your price would be $15 for 30 rolls after coupons -- or just 50 cents each. *stockpile price*
