Walgreens Ad 8/17: Best Sales & Deals

Here are my picks for the best deals in the Walgreens ad for August 17 - 23, 2014.

Best deals in the 8/17 Walgreens ad

  • Almay Shadow or Lip Balm -- click here to see how you can make a $1.01 profit by buying these!
  • Clearasil -- assorted varieties on sale for $6.49 each.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 8/17 Smartsource, and then submit for the $5.49 mail-in rebate that may also be in the 8/17 Smartsource insert (I have a feeling this rebate form will be regional.)  Your bottle or tube will be free!
  • Perfection Tampons -- 8-count boxes on sale for $1.49, with $1.49 back in Register Rewards.  So free!
  • Purell Hand Sanitizer -- 8 oz bottles on sale for $2.99 each.  Stack the $1 off Walgreens coupon from the August coupon book with this $2 off coupon.  Your bottle is free!
  • Wexford Erasers or Eraser Caps -- on sale for 19 cents per pack with in-ad coupon.
  • Wexford Index Cards -- on sale for 29 cents per pack with in-ad coupon.
  • Bic Brite Light Highlighters -- 5-count packs on sale for 79 cents each with in-ad coupon.  Buy two and stack the $1 off 2 coupon from the 8/3 Smartsource insert.  Your new price falls to 29 cents per pack.
  • Colgate Optic White Toothpaste -- on sale for $3.99, with $3 back in Register Rewards.  Use the 50 cents off coupon from the 8/10 Smartsource insert, and pay 49 cents for yours.
  • Brut Antiperspirant/Deodorant -- on sale for $1.49 each.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 8/17 Smartsource insert and grab yours for 49 cents.
  • Sure Deodorant -- also on sale for $1.49 each.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 8/17 Smartsource insert and pick up yours for 49 cents.
  • Paper Mate Pens -- 10-count packs on sale for 49 cents each.
  • Paper Mate Highlighters -- 6-count packs on sale for 49 cents each.
  • Arizona Tea or Drink -- on sale 2 for $1, which works out to 50 cents each.
  • Jello Gelatin or Instant Pudding -- on sale for 69 cents per box with in-ad coupon.
  • Crayola Colored Pencils, Markers, or Crayons -- on sale for 99 cents per pack.
  • Wexford #2 Pencils -- 20-count packs on sale for 99 cents each.
  • Reach Toothbrushes -- on sale for $2.99, with $2 back in Register Rewards.  So that's a final price of 99 cents.
  • Welch's Concord Grape Jelly -- on sale 3 for $5.  Use the $1 off 2 coupon from the 7/27 Red Plum insert (this was regional, so you may have to order it.)  Your price drops to 3 for $4, or $1.34 each.

  • Caress Body Wash -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 7/27 Red Plum insert for extra savings.
