Dollar General Ad 5/26: Best Sales & Deals

Here are the best deals I spotted in the Dollar General ad for May 26 - 28, 2016.

If you plan to become a regular couponer at Dollar General, I strongly recommend building a personal relationship with your store's general manager so the cashiers don't freak out at the sight of your coupon binder.  

Bringing a copy of the Dollar General coupon policy is always a smart idea too!  The policy updated back in December 2014, so you might need to print yourself a new copy.

Best deals in the 5/26 Dollar General ad

  • French's Mustard -- on sale for 85 cents per bottle.  Use this 50 cents off coupon and get yours for just 35 cents instead!
  • Texas Pete Hot Sauce -- on sale 2 bottles for $1, must buy two to receive discount. So that's just 50 cents apiece!
  • Matchbox or Hot Wheels Cars -- on BOGO sale 2 for $1.25.  So that's just 63 cents each!
  • Hamburger Helper -- on sale 2 boxes for $2, must buy two to receive discount.  If you want to stock up, buy six bottles for $6, then use two 75 cents off 3 coupon from the 4/17 Smartsource inserts.  Your price drops to $4.50 for all six boxes, or 75 cents apiece!
  • Kraft Barbecue Sauce -- on sale for 85 cents per bottle.
  • Bush's Best Baked Beans -- 28 oz cans on sale 4 for $4, must buy four to receive discount.  So that's $1 per can!
  • Hormel Chili -- on sale 4 cans for $4, must buy four to receive discount.  So also $1 per can!
  • Keebler Cookies -- on sale for $2 per bag.  Use this $1 off coupon (points required) and grab yours for just a buck.
  • Kellogg's Cereal -- click here to see how you can stock up for just a buck per box (Thursday or Friday only.)
  • Dr Pepper, Sunkist, 7UP, or Canada Dry 12-Packs -- on sale 2 for $5, must buy two to receive discount.  So that's just $2.50 per case!  Limit four per transaction.
  • Sparkle Paper Towels -- 6-count packs on sale for $3.95 each.  Use this $1 off coupon and get yours for just $2.95 instead.
