Dollar General Ad 4/24: Best Sales & Deals

Here are the best deals I spotted in the Dollar General ad for April 24 - 30, 2016.

Don't forget all of the sales available in this week's ad are still going on as well!
If you plan to become a regular couponer at Dollar General, I strongly recommend building a personal relationship with your store's general manager so the cashiers don't freak out at the sight of your coupon binder.  

Bringing a copy of the Dollar General coupon policy is always a smart idea too!  The policy updated back in December 2014, so you might need to print yourself a new copy.



Best deals in the 4/24 Dollar General ad
  • Gatorade -- on sale for $1 per 32 oz bottle.  Use the 25 cents off DG digital coupon to pay 75 cents out of pocket.  Next, submit your receipt here for a coupon for another FREE 32 oz bottle of Gatorade.  So that's like two bottles for a final price of 75 cents, or just 38 cents apiece!  NOTE: If you're not familiar with how Dollar General digital coupons work, go here for my how-to guide!
  • StarKist Chunk Light Tuna -- on sale for 65 cents per can.
  • Trolli Candy -- on sale for $1 per bag, plus on a Buy 3 Get 1 Free sale.  So buy four bags for $3, which drops your price to 75 cents per bag.
  • Pepsi or Mountain Dew 2-Liters -- on sale 3 for $3, which works out to a buck per bottle!  Must purchase in quantities of three to receive discount.
  • Clover Valley White Bread -- on sale for $1.25 per loaf.
  • Glade Candle or Wax Melts -- on sale for $3 each, plus on a Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale.  So buy three for a pre-coupon price of $6, then use two 55 cents off coupons from the 3/20 Smartsource inserts.  Your price drops to $4.90 out of pocket, and then you can submit for this 50 cents Ibotta rebate on the candle and this 50 cents Ibotta rebate on the melts.  Your final price drops to $3.90 for all three, or $1.30 apiece!
  • Jif, Skippy, or Peter Pan Peanut Butter -- all on sale for $1.75 per jar!
  • Mitchum Deodorant -- on sale for $3 each.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 4/24 Smartsource insert and pay two bucks for yours.
  • Reynolds Wrap -- 65-square foot boxes on sale for $2.75 each.  Use this 75 cents off coupon and pay $2 for yours.
  • Dove Deodorant Twin Packs -- priced at $2.75 each, with a $2 instant discount when you buy $8 or more.  So you can grab three twin packs for final price of $6.25 after instant discount -- which works out to $2.08 per pack!
  • Wisk Laundry Detergent -- 30-load bottles on sale for $3.95.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 4/10 Smartsource insert.  You'll pay $2.95 out of pocket, and then you can submit for this 50 cents off SavingStar rebate (if still available in your app.)  Your final price falls to $2.45!
  • All Laundry Detergent or Mighty Pacs -- on sale for $3.95 per bag or bottle.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 4/17 Red Plum insert and pay $2.95 for yours.
  • Clover Valley Bottled Water -- 24-count packs priced at $2.95 each.
  • Friskies Dry Cat Food -- 3.15 lb bags priced at $3.95.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 3/6 Red Plum insert and snag yours for $2.95 instead.
  • Xtra Liquid Laundry Detergent -- 96 load bottles on sale for $3.95 each.  Use this $1 off Dollar General digital coupon and pay $2.95 for yours.
