Walgreens Ad 10/12: Best Sales & Deals

Here are my picks for the best deals in the Walgreens ad for October 12 - 18, 2014.

Best deals in the 10/12 Walgreens ad

  • Walgreens Points Booster Coupons -- Score an additional 5000 Balance Reward points (like $5 in buying power) when you spend $25 with this in-ad coupon October 12 through 14 only!  For this offer, you need to spend $25 AFTER any additional Walgreens coupons (they act as price reductions in the register) but BEFORE manufacturer coupons.  
  • Cascade Action Pacs -- 12 to 15-count bags on sale for $3.99 each.  Submit for this Try Me Free rebate and grab a free bag instead!
  • Halloween Pencils -- on sale 8 for $1 with in-ad coupon.  So that works out to 13 cents per pencil.
  • Halloween Plastic Tumblers -- on sale for 25 cents each with in-ad coupon.
  • Trident Gum -- on sale 2 packs for $1.50.  Use the $1 off 2 coupon from the 10/12 Smartsource insert to knock your price down to 50 cents for both, or 25 cents per pack.
  • Novelty Halloween Candy Cadbury Creme Egg or Reese's Pumpkin -- on sale for 59 cents each.  Buy four for a pre-coupon price of $2.36, then use the $1 off 4 coupon in the October Walgreens coupon book.  Your price drops to $1.36 for all four, or 34 cents each!
  • Halloween Sticker Packs -- on sale for 34 cents each with in-ad coupon.
  • Lindsay Olives -- on sale for 99 cents per can with in-ad coupon.  Buy two cans and stack this $1 off 2 coupon.  Your price drops to 99 cents for both, or 49 cents each.
  • Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash -- on sale 3 for $9, with $3 back in Register Rewards when you buy three in a single transaction.  So buy three, and use three $1.50 off coupons from the 9/28 P&G insert.  You'll pay $4.50 out of pocket, and then you'll receive your $3 in Register Rewards for a future purchase.  So that's like a final price of $1.50 for all three, or 50 cents each!
  • Chicken of the Sea Chunk Light Tuna -- on sale for 69 cents per can with in-ad coupon.
  • Powerade -- on sale for 69 cents per bottle with in-ad coupon.
  • Brach's Autumn Candy -- on sale for 79 cents per bag.
  • Softsoap Liquid Hand Soap -- on sale for $1.99, with $1 back in Register Rewards.  So that's a final price of 99 cents.
  • Mead Envelopes -- 99-count boxes on sale for 99 cents each with in-ad coupon.
  • Nice! Aluminum Foil -- 25 square foot rolls on sale for 99 cents each, no coupons necessary.
  • Bayer Aspirin -- 24 to 36-count boxes on sale for $1.99.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 10/12 Red Plum insert and pay 99 cents instead.

  • Green Mountain Coffee K-Cup Packs -- 12-count boxes on sale for $5.99 each.  There's a $1.50 off coupon available in the October Walgreens coupon book that drops your price down to $4.49.
  • Disney or Peanuts Halloween Pajamas -- on sale for $8.99 each.
