CVS Ad 8/31: Best Labor Day Deals & Sales

Here are the best sales and deals I spotted in the CVS ad for August 31 - September 6, 2014, including some nice deals on your Labor Day party planning needs.

• CVS.com/rxaccess -- Create an account and earn $3 in Extra Bucks!  This offer doesn't go live until Sunday, August 31, so don't create your account until then.  That $3 in Extra Bucks can be used towards any of the following deals below, to snag you either free or super-cheap buys!
• Dawn Hand Renewal Dishwashing Liquid -- 9 oz bottles on sale for 99 cents each.  Use the 50 cents off coupon arriving in the 8/30 P&G insert, and pay 49 cents for yours.
• Campbell's Chicken Noodle or Tomato Soup -- on sale for 99 cents per can.  Scan your Extra Care card at the CVS Coupon Center for a 50 cents off coupon, and get yours for just 49 cents.
• Garnier Fructis Shampoo, Conditioner or Treatment -- on sale for $2.99 per bottle, with a free $10 CVS gift card when you spend $30 or more.  Buy 10 bottles for $29.90 (which should still be enough to trigger your gift card.)  Use 10 $1 off coupons from the 8/10 Red Plum insert.  You'll pay $19.90 out of pocket, and then you'll receive your free $10 CVS gift card.  So that's like a final price of $9.90 for everything, or 99 cents per bottle.
• Xtra Liquid Laundry Detergent -- 30-load bottles on sale for $1.49 each, with a free $10 CVS gift card when you spend $30 or more.  Buy 20 bottles for $29.80 (which should still be enough to trigger your gift card.)  After your gift card, that's like spending $19.80 for 20 bottles, or 99 cents each.  NOTE: Don't expect to find 20 bottles sitting on the shelf of a single CVS store -- to do this deal, you'll need to either place a special order with your store manager (many will do that!) or hit up multiple stores.
• Ocean Spray Craisins -- on sale for $2 per bag.  Submit for the current $1 Shopmium rebate and pay $1 instead.
• Coke 2-Liter Bottles -- on sale 4 for $5, with $1 back in Extra Bucks.  So that works out to four dollars for four bottles, or a buck apiece!
• Assorted School Supplies -- on sale for $1 each.  The ad features highlighters, filler paper, scissors, Elmer's Glue Sticks, and more.
• Pantene Hair Care -- on sale 3 bottles for $10.  Scan your Extra Care card at the CVS Coupon Center for a $1 off P&G coupon, then stack it with the $5 off 3 Pantene coupon arriving in the 8/30 P&G insert.  Your final price drops to $4 for all three bottles, or $1.34 each.
• Hormel Compleats -- on sale for $2 each.  Buy three and use the $1.50 off 3 coupon from the 8/10 Smartsource insert.  Your new price falls to $1.50 each.
• Bausch & Lomb Peroxi Clear -- on sale for $4.99 per box, with $3 back in Extra Bucks.  So that's like spending $1.99 for yours.
• Starbucks Frappuccino or Doubleshot 4-Packs -- on sale for $5.99 each, with a free single-serve bottle of Starbucks Iced Coffee with purchase.  Buy two of each for a pre-coupon price of $11.98, then use this $4 off 2 Starbucks coupon.  Your final price for all four items drops to $7.98, or about $2 each!
• Just The Basics Purified Drinking Water -- 24-count packs on sale for $2.22 each.  Limit 3 packs per transaction.
• Tide Simply Clean & Fresh -- 25-load bottle priced at $3.49.  Use the 50 cents off coupon from the 8/17 Red Plum insert and get yours for $2.99.  NOTE: That $1 off P&G coupon available at the CVS Coupon Center may be good on any P&G brand item -- if it is, this is an even better deal!
• Clairol Nice N' Easy Hair Color -- on sale for $6 per box.  There should be a coupon in the 8/30 P&G insert for a free box of Clairol Root Touch-Up with purchase.  So buy one of each for $3 per box after coupon!
• CVS Diapers or Training Pants -- on sale for $6.99 per box, with $3 back in Extra Bucks.  So that's like paying just $3.99 for yours -- great price for a jumbo-size box!
• Select Keuring K-Cups -- 12-count packs priced at $5.99 each.  If Starbucks is included, buy two and use the same $4 off 2 Starbucks coupon.  Your price drops to $3.99 per box!  There's also a $2 off Lipton K-Cup coupon available, but for the life of me, I can't remember if CVS stocks that brand or not.
• Conair or Scunci Accessories or Hair Brushes -- Spend $8 or more, get $4 back in Extra Bucks.  No prices listed in ad.
• Almay Cosmetics -- Spend $10 or more, get $4 back in Extra Bucks.  No prices listed in ad.
• Sally Hansen Cosmetics -- Buy any two priced at $3.99 & up, get $3 back in Extra Bucks.
