CVS deals and coupons
Here are the best freebies, sales and deals I spotted in the CVS ad for August 3 - 9, 2014.

If you're new to shopping at CVS, go here to get started, and be sure to snag a free Extra Care card from your cashier when you head into the store.

Best deals in the 8/3 CVS ad

  • CVS Coupons -- Save $4 off any $12 worth of cosmetics or more!  Scan your Extra Care card at the CVS Coupon Center to print your coupon -- and remember, it can be stacked with manufacturer coupons for additional savings.
  • Keebler Cookies or Crackers -- priced at $1.99 per box, with $5 back in Extra Bucks when you spend $15 or more.  There are $1.50 off coupons available to print in the Kellogg's Family Rewards site (points required.)  If you have enough points, you could do the following scenario: Buy 8 boxes for a pre-coupon price of $15.92.  Use 8 $1.50 off coupons to drop your out of pocket price down to $3.92, then receive your $5 back in Extra Bucks.  So all 8 boxes are free, plus you'll have $1.08 in profit on your transaction.  NOTE: This would require a LOT of points, so adjust your scenarios as necessary for what you have to work with!
  • Mars or Hershey's Single Size Candy Bars -- on sale for 99 cents each.  Scan your Extra Care card at the CVS Coupon Center to print a 74 cents off coupon, and pay 25 cents instead for yours.
  • Colgate 360 Manual Toothbrush -- on sale for $2.99, with $2 back in Extra Bucks.  Use the 50 cents off coupon from the 7/27 Smartsource insert, and get yours for a final price of 49 cents.  Limit 2 per Extra Care Card.
  • Colgate Total Toothpaste -- on sale 2 for $5, with $3 back in Extra Bucks when you buy two.  So buy two and use two 50 cents off coupons from the 7/27 Smartsource insert.  You'll pay $4 out of pocket, and then receive your $3 back in Extra Bucks.  So that's like $1 for two tubes, or 50 cents each.
  • Dial Bar Soap -- 3-count packs priced at 2 for $4, with $1 back in Extra Bucks when you buy two.  So buy two and use the $1 off 2 coupon arriving in the 8/3 Red Plum insert.  You'll pay $3 out of pocket, and then receive your $1 back in Extra Bucks.  So that's like paying $2 for two packs.  Next, submit for the $1 Ibotta rebate.  Your new price falls to $1 for both packs, or 50 cents each!  UPDATE: You can also submit for $10 worth of coupons after purchase -- click here for details.
  • All Liquid Laundry Detergent or Mighty Pacs -- click here to see how you can grab bottles or bags for just 63 cents each!

  • Pampers Diapers -- on sale for $9 per Jumbo Pack, plus $3 back in Extra Bucks when you spend $12 or more.  Buy two for $18, then use two coupons for a free pack of Pampers wipes with diapers purchase from the 7/27 P&G insert.  Your final price drops to $15 for two jumbo packs of diapers and two packs of wipes after coupons and Extra Bucks!
