Walgreens Ad 9/1: Best Labor Day Deals & Sales

Here are my picks for the best deals in the Walgreens ad for September 1 - 7, 2013.

Back to school deals in the 9/1 Walgreens ad
  • Wexford index cards -- on sale for 49 cents per pack with in-ad coupon.
  • Wexford filler paper -- on sale for 79 cents per pack with in-ad coupon.
  • Paper Mate highlighters -- 6-count pack on sale for 99 cents with in-ad coupon.

Other great Labor Day deals in the 9/1 Walgreens ad
  • Nivea For Men post shave balm, face scrub or wash -- on sale 2 for $7, with $2 back in Register Rewards when you buy two in the same transaction.  Buy a face scrub and a post shave balm.  Use this $3 off coupon plus the $2 off coupon from the 8/18 Red Plum insert.  Both are free!
  • Schiff Digestive Advantage -- 32-count box on sale for $8, with $8 back in Register Rewards.  
  • Bayer Contour Next USB Blood Glucose Monitor -- on sale for $10, with 10000 Balance Rewards points good for a future transaction.  That's like getting $10 towards your next purchase, so free!
  • Butterball turkey bacon -- on sale for 99 cents per pack.  Use this $1 off coupon and get yours for free!
  • Skinny Cow candy bars -- should be part of the 49 cents Nestle candy sale.  If they are, buy two and use the BOGO coupon from the 7/28 Red Plum insert.  Your price drops to 25 cents each.
  • Lindsay olives -- on sale for 99 cents per can with in-ad coupon.  Buy two and stack with this $1 off 2 coupon (registration required.)  Your price drops to 49 cents each.
  • Crest Pro-Health Clinical toothpaste or Oral-B Cross Action toothbrush -- on sale for $3.49 each, with $2.50 back in Register Rewards.  Use the 50 cents off coupon arriving in the 9/1 P&G insert, and your final price drops to 49 cents.
  • Scope Outlast mouthwash -- on sale for $2.99, with $1 back in Register Rewards.  Use the $1.50 off coupon arriving in the 9/1 P&G coupon insert, and get yours for 49 cents.
  • Ivory soap -- 3-count packs on unadvertised sale 2 for $2.  So buy two and use two 50 cents off coupons from the 9/1 P&G insert.  Your price drops to 50 cents per 3-pack.
  • Quaker Life cereal -- on sale for $1.67 per box.  Buy two boxes, and use the $1 off 2 coupon from the 8/4 Red Plum, then submit for the 50 cents off Ibotta reimbursement.  Your new price drops to 92 cents per box.
  • Nice! One dozen Grade A large eggs -- on sale for 99 cents per carton.
  • Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal -- on sale for $1.99 per box.  Use this $1 off coupon (it's on the Target website, but it's a manufacturer coupon) and get yours for 99 cents instead.
  • Brach's Autumn candy -- on sale for 99 cents per bag.
  • Planters NUT-rition peanut butter -- on sale 2 jars for $4.  That's a pretty good price to pay for premium peanut butter.
  • Jack's frozen pizza -- on sale 3 for $10.  Use the $3 off 3 Walgreens coupon (in the September coupon book) and get yours 3 for $7 instead, which works out to $2.34 each.
  • Got2B hair care -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  Use two of the $2 off coupons from the 8/4 Red Plum insert to drop your price even lower.
  • Right Guard Xtreme deodorant -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  Use two of the $2 off coupons from the 8/4 Red Plum insert (expires 9/1) and pay even less for yours.
  • Arm & Hammer toothpaste -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  If the Sensitive is included in the sale, use two of this $1 off coupon (registration required) to drop your price even further.

  1. My Walgreens will not take the $1.00 off coupon off of the 99cent butterball turkey bacon because the coupon is more than he item

  2. The Nivea for Men would actually be .50 each. 2 for $7 with $2 RR and $4 off in coupons comes to $1 so .50 cents each.
