Target Ad 12/20: Best Christmas Sales & Deals

Here are the best sales and coupon deals I spotted in the Target ad for December 20 - 24, 2015.  

 As in years past, Target stores will be CLOSED for Christmas Day itself.

Before you prep your shopping list, make sure you read about the new and improved Target price matching policy that went into effect on October 1, 2015.

Best Christmas deals in the 12/20 Target ad
  • Save $5 off Holiday cards or wrap essentials purchase of $25 or more -- clip the in-ad coupon or text GIFT to 827438 for a mobile version.
  • Del Monte Canned Vegetables -- select varieties on sale for 69 cents each.  Buy four and use the 40 cents off 4 coupon from the 11/8 Smartsource insert.  Your new price drops to 59 cents per can.  Check your Mobisave app for a possible 50 cents off 2 rebate as well!
  • Market Pantry® 10- to 24-lb. frozen turkey -- on sale for 79 cents per pound.
  • Butterball 10- to 24-lb. premium frozen turkey -- on sale for 99 cents per pound.
  • All 2-liter soda -- on sale 5 for $5; must buy in quantities of 5 to receive discount.
  • Christmas Gift Bags -- priced at $1 and up.
  • Philadelphia 8-oz. cream cheese bricks -- on sale 2 for $3.  Use this $1 off 2 coupon (sort by Food to find it fast) and pay a buck per brick instead.
  • Select Holiday Novelty Candy -- on sale for $1 each.
  • Kellogg's Rice Krispies Cereal -- on sale for $2.50 per box, with a free bag of Kraft Jet-Puffed Marshmallows when you buy two boxes in the same transaction.  So buy all three items for $5, then use the $1 off 2 coupon from the 11/15 or 11/22 Red Plum inserts.  Your final price drops to three for $4, or $1.34 each.
  • Fresh 5-lb. bag russet potatoes -- on sale for $1.99 each, which works out to just 40 cents per pound!
  • Christmas Gift Boxes -- priced at $2 and up.
  • Assorted Tyson Frozen Chicken Bags -- on sale for $5.99 each, with a free $5 Target gift card back when you buy two in the same transaction.  If your family likes nuggets, buy two packs for a pre-coupon price of $11.98, then use two of this $1 off coupon.  You'll pay $9.98 out of pocket, and then you'll still receive your $5 Target gift card for next time.  So that's like paying $4.98 for both bags of nuggets, or just $2.49 apiece!
