Walgreens Ad 8/3: Best Sales & Deals

Here are my picks for the best deals in the Walgreens ad for August 3 - 9, 2014.

Best deals in the 8/3 Walgreens ad

  • Crystal Light Drink Mix -- on sale for $3, with $3 back in Register Rewards.  Use this $1 off coupon and get yourself a $1 money-maker!
  • MiO or Kool-Aid Liquid Drink Mix -- on sale for $3, with $3 back in Register Rewards.  So free after Register Rewards!
  • Wexford 2-Pocket Folders -- on sale for 17 cents each with in-ad coupon.  Limit 6 per transaction.
  • Crest 3D White Toothpaste or Oral-B 3D White Toothbrushes -- on sale 2 for $6, with $4 back in Register Rewards when you buy two in the same transaction.  So buy two and use two 75 cents off coupons from the 7/13 Red Plum insert.  You'll pay $4.50 out of pocket, and receive your $4 back in Register Rewards for a future purchase.  So your final price is like 50 cents for two tubes, or 25 cents per tube!
  • Wexford Erasers -- 2-count or 15-count packs on sale for 25 cents each with in-ad coupon.  Limit 4 per transaction.
  • Paper Mate Pens -- on sale for 29 cents per pack.  Limit 6 per transaction.
  • Wexford Pencil Sharpeners or Plastic Compass -- on sale for 39 cents each with in-ad coupon.  Limit 3 per transaction.
  • Wexford Protractors or Index Cards -- on sale for 39 cents each with in-ad coupon.  Limit 3 per transaction.
  • Crayola Crayons -- 24-count packs on sale for 49 cents each.  Limit 4 per transaction.
  • Bic Cristal Pens -- 8 or 10-count packs on sale for 99 cents each with in-ad coupon.  Buy two and stack the $1 off 2 coupon from the 8/3 Smartsource insert.  Your new price falls to 49 cents per pack.
  • Haribo Gummy Bears -- on sale for 79 cents per bag.  Use this 30 cents off coupon and get yours for 49 cents instead.
  • Arizona Tea or Drink -- on sale for 50 cents each with in-ad coupon.  Limit 6 per transaction.
  • Ban Antiperspirant Deodorant -- on sale 2 for $4, with 1000 Balance Reward points back when you buy two in the same transaction.  Use two 75 cents off coupons from the 8/3 Smartsource insert, and pay $2.50 out of pocket, then you'll still have your $1 worth of buying power via your Balance Reward points.  So that's like $1.50 for both deodorants, or 75 cents each!
  • Wexford #2 Pencils -- 20-count packs priced at 99 cents each with in-ad coupon.  Limit 3 per transaction.
  • Wexford Construction Paper -- packs priced at 99 cents each with in-ad coupon.  Limit 3 per transaction.
  • Wexford Ballpoint Pens -- 20-count packs priced at 99 cents each.
  • Sharpie Highlighters -- 4-count packs on sale for 99 cents.
  • Expo Dry-Erase Markers -- 2-count packs on sale for 99 cents.  NOTE: These aren't eligible for the recent Expo coupon, which is good for $1.25 off a 4-count pack.
  • Crayola Colored Pencils or Markers -- on sale for 99 cents per pack with in-ad coupon.  Limit 3 per transaction.
  • Got2B Styling Items -- on sale for $3.99, with $1 back in Register Rewards.  Use the $2 off coupon from the 8/3 Red Plum insert.  Your final price drops to just 99 cents!
  • Arrid or Arm & Hammer Deodorant -- on sale for 99 cents each.
  • Butterball Ground Turkey -- on sale 2 1-lb packs for $4.  Use two of this $1 off coupon and pay $2 for 2, or a buck each!  That's straight-up the best price I've seen for ground turkey in at least a year or two.
  • Capri Sun -- 10-count packs on sale 2 for $4, with 1000 Balance Reward points back when you buy two in the same transaction.  According to the ad, we should see a $1 off 2 coupon in the 8/3 paper; if that shows up, your final price after coupon and Balance Reward points is just a buck per box.
  • Right Guard Deodorant -- on BOGO sale.  No prices listed in ad, but the Walgreens website has these priced at $3.99.  If you find a similar price in store, buy two and use the $1.50 off coupon arriving in the 8/3 Red Plum insert.  Your price goes as low as $2.50 for both, or $1.25 each.
  • Pull-Ups -- click here to see how you can grab these for just $4 per pack (better than 50% off!)
  • Starbucks K-Cup Packs -- 10-count boxes on sale for $6.99.  Use the $1.50 off coupon from the 6/15 Smartsource insert, and score yours for $5.49.
  • Wexford Binders -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.
  • Kleenex -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.
  • Morton Epsom Salt -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.
  • Blue Diamond Almonds -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.
