Dollar General Ad 1/13: Best Sales & Deals

Here are the best deals I spotted in the Dollar General ad for January 13 - 20, 2013.  

If you plan to become a regular couponer here, I strongly recommend building a personal relationship with your store's general manager so the cashiers don't freak out at the sight of your coupon binder.  
Bringing a copy of the Dollar General coupon policy is always a smart idea too!



Best deals in the 1/13 Dollar General ad

• Stayfree Maxi or Ultra Thin pads -- 14-24 count bags priced at $2 each.  Buy two and use the BOGO coupon from the 1/6 Smartsource insert.  Your new price drops to a buck per bag.
• Reach toothbrushes -- twin-packs on sale for $2 each.  Use this $1 off coupon and pay a dollar instead.
• Johnson's baby oil -- on sale for $3 per bottle.  Use this $1 off coupon (sort by Baby & Toddler to find your fast) and get yours for two dollars.
• L'Oreal Vive Pro shampoo or conditioner -- on sale for $2.50 per bottle.
• Purex liquid laundry detergent -- 48-load bottle on sale for $4.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 1/6 Red Plum, and get yours for $3.  That works out to about six cents per load!
• Scott paper towels -- 6-pack of Choose-A-Size towels priced at $5.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 1/13 Smartsource and pay $4 for yours.  Since these are like 9 regular rolls, it's like paying 44 cents per roll!
