 Here's how the math works out:
  • Crest Toothpaste -- on sale for $2.99 per box, with $5 back in Register Rewards when you buy three boxes in the same transaction.
  • Buy three boxes for a pre-coupon price of $8.97.
  • Use the $1 off Crest coupon available in the Walgreens mobile app (this is a manufacturer coupon, so it can only be used a single time per app.)
  • Pay $7.97 out of pocket for all three boxes, then receive your $5 in Register Rewards to use next time.
  • That's like a final price of $2.97 for all three boxes, or 99 cents apiece!
