UPDATE: New session begins May 13, 2019 -- just in time for your summer planning!
📢 Awkward conversation topic alert! 📢 I’m about to talk about money! 💰😬
I know, we talk about saving money through couponing basically all the time here. But we don't talk much about what else is going on with our finances.
As some of you may know, my mom passed away in 2018 after a long battle with blood cancer. It was a really tough time of my life, and I had gotten into some bad financial habits to try to self-soothe or cope with stress.
I'm talking impromptu trips to Total Wine, last-minute dinners out, Amazon binges, and late-night eBay bidding. Really expensive stress relief.
But surprise!
None of it made me feel any better -- and it left me with more credit card debt than I felt comfortable with.
So in 2018, I spent $57 on an online class that billed itself as “a no-deprivation-required approach to spending less, earning extra, and not hating your life while doing it.”
It seemed sort of …. too good to be true? And yes, it felt kind of weird to be a coupon blogger who was paying money to learn how to save money more effectively.
But for $57 I figured, why not?! I was spending more than that on eating out each month.
And I thought, even if it didn't work, it would make me feel better just to try something new, and have something else to focus on besides my grief.
Long story short, it WASN’T too good to be true.
In fact, in the first four weeks, we were able to put $2,750 towards credit card debt AND pay for pricey car repairs in cash. Our total savings over the course of the class was almost exactly 4 grand!
That is a heck of a return on my $57 investment if you ask me! I couldn't have gotten that money through couponing or even investing in the stock market.
And I DIDN’T hate my life while doing it! I actually felt really empowered. It helped us refocus on our finances and what was truly important to us as a family.
And when we spent money, it was on items and experiences that I really wanted and really enjoyed, like taking my sister for fajitas and margaritas. Things that really did start to ease me, and give me new things to look forward to.
And the class is live! It’s not one of those self-paced things you buy and then forget about.
There are live q & as, weekly emails, and a super active Facebook group full of people who are cheering you on and sharing their insights. Honestly, the Facebook group is incredibly useful and inspiring.
FOR 57 EVER-LOVING DOLLARS.
So Bank Boost is open for enrollment beginning May 6, 2019 (class will begin a week later) and I thought you should know about it.
It’s fun, super effective, and unlike anything else you’ve tried when it comes to money. You can sign up here >>
And if you don't want to wait for the next class session to start, you can grab a DIY version of the course for just $17!
Full disclosure, I *am* an affiliate for the course, but that’s because I really, really believe in it. In fact, I'll be back in this next session looking for new tips (and prepping to pay off an upcoming cruise!)
$4 grand in six weeks can’t be wrong!
