Dollar General Ad 12/11: Best Sales & Deals

Here are the best deals I spotted in the Dollar General ad running 12/11 - 12/17/16.

If you plan to become a regular couponer at Dollar General, I strongly recommend building a personal relationship with your store's general manager so the cashiers don't freak out at the sight of your coupon binder.  

Bringing a copy of the Dollar General coupon policy is always a smart idea too!  The policy updated back in December 2014, so you might need to print yourself a new copy.

• Libby's Canned Vegetables -- on sale 2 cans for $1, must buy in quantities of two to receive discount.  So that works out to just 50 cents per can!
• Imperial® Margarine -- on sale for 67 cents per box.
• Carnation Condensed Milk -- on sale for $1 per can.
• Clover Valley® Vegetable Oil -- on sale for $1.75 per bottle.  Use this 75 cents off Dollar General digital coupon and snag yours for a dollar instead.  NOTE: If you're not familiar with how digital coupons work at Dollar General, go here for my how-to guide! :D
• Coca-Cola® Diet Coke® or Sprite® -- on sale three 2-liter bottles for $3, must buy in quantities of three to receive discount.  So that's like a final price of a buck per bottle!
• Fanta®, Barq's®, or Mello Yello® 2 Liters -- on sale for $1 per bottle.
• Hefty® Foam Plates -- 45-count bags on sale for $1.50 each.  Buy two for a pre-coupon price of $3, then use the $1 off 2 coupon from the 11/13 Red Plum insert (note: this was a regional coupon, so not everyone will have received it.)  Your new price drops to $2 for 2, or a buck per bag.
• Kraft Barbecue Sauce -- on sale 2 for $2, must buy in quantities of two to receive discount.  So that drops your price to a dollar each bottle.
• Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate -- 10-count boxes on sale 2 for $2, must buy in quantities of two to receive discount.  So that's like a final price of a buck per box.
• Clover Valley® Whole Wheat Bread -- priced at $1.35 per loaf.
• Garnier Whole Blends™ Shampoo or Conditioner -- on sale for $3.50 per bottle.  Use the $2 off coupon from the 12/11 Smartsource insert and pay $1.50 for yours.
• Ore Ida Crinkle Cut Fries or Tater Tots -- 24 oz bags priced at $2 each.  Buy two for $4, then submit for this $1 off 2 Checkout 51 rebate (valid through 12/14 only.)  Your final price drops to $3 for both bags, or $1.50 each.
• Skippy® Peanut Butter -- on sale for $2 per jar.  Buy two jars for a pre-coupon price of $4, then use the 75 cents off 2 coupon from the 11/13 Smartsource insert.  Your new price falls to $3.25 for both jars, or just $1.63 each.
• Tide Simply Clean Liquid Laundry Detergent -- 40 oz bottles priced at $2.95 each.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 12/11 Red Plum insert and pay $1.95 for yours.
• Hefty® Trash Bags -- 38-count boxes priced at $5.95 each.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 10/30 Red Plum insert.  Pay $4.95 out of pocket, then submit for this $1 Ibotta rebate.  Your final price drops to $3.95 for your box.
