Dollar General Ad 10/2: Best Sales & Deals

Here are the best deals I spotted in the Dollar General ad running 10/2 - 10/8/16.

If you plan to become a regular couponer at Dollar General, I strongly recommend building a personal relationship with your store's general manager so the cashiers don't freak out at the sight of your coupon binder.  

Bringing a copy of the Dollar General coupon policy is always a smart idea too!  The policy updated back in December 2014, so you might need to print yourself a new copy.

• Bumble Bee® Tuna in Water -- on sale 2 cans for $1, must buy in quantities of two to receive discount.  So stock up for 50 cents per can!
• Kellogg's® Rice Krispies Treats® -- single serve packs on sale for 50 cents each.
• Sunny D -- on sale for $1 per bottle.  Use the 50 cents off coupon from the 8/31 Smartsource insert and pay 50 cents for yours!
• Renuzit® Solid Air Freshener -- on sale for 90 cents each.  Buy six and use this Buy 4 Get 2 Free coupon.  Your price drops to $3.60 for all six, which works out to 60 cents each!
• Betty Crocker® Mashed Potatoes -- on sale 3 pouches for $2, must buy in quantities of three to receive discount.  So that works out to 67 cents per pouch!
• Clover Valley® Petite Diced, Diced, Stewed, Whole Peeled or Green Chili Mild Tomatoes -- on sale 3 cans for $2, must buy in quantities of three to receive discount.  So that works out to 67 cents per can!
• Clover Valley® Pinto, Light Red Kidney, Chili, Black or Garbanzo Beans or Tomato Sauce -- also on sale 3 cans for $2, must buy in quantities of three to receive discount.  So also 67 cents per can!
• Hormel® Compleats® -- priced at $1.75 each.  Use this $1 off coupon OR the $1 off coupon from the 9/11 Smartsource and get yours for 75 cents.
• Hunt's® Snack Pack Pudding -- 4-count packs on sale for 75 cents each.
• Snapple® Drinks -- on sale for $1 per bottle, plus on a Buy 3 Get 1 Free deal.  So buy four bottles for $3, which works out to 75 cents each.
• Glade® Carpet & Room Deodorizer -- 32 oz canisters on sale for $1.50 each.  Buy three for a pre-coupon price of $4.50, then use this $2 off 3 coupon OR the $2 off 3 coupon from the 9/25 Smartsource insert.  Your new price drops to 83 cents apiece!
• Carnation® Evaporated Milk -- on sale for $1 per can.
• Dr Pepper®, 7Up®, A&W®, Sun Drop® or Canada Dry 2-Liters -- on sale 3 for $3, must buy in quantities of three to receive discount.  So that works out to a buck per bottle!
• Kraft® Barbecue Sauce -- 18 oz bottles on sale for $1 each (down from $1.75.)
• Pillsbury® Funfetti® Cake Mix -- on sale for $1 per box.
• Skippy® Peanut Butter -- on sale for $1.75 per jar.
