Dollar General Ad 5/8: Best Sales & Deals

Here are the best deals I spotted in the Dollar General ad for May 8 - 14, 2016.

If you plan to become a regular couponer at Dollar General, I strongly recommend building a personal relationship with your store's general manager so the cashiers don't freak out at the sight of your coupon binder.  

Bringing a copy of the Dollar General coupon policy is always a smart idea too!  The policy updated back in December 2014, so you might need to print yourself a new copy.

Best deals in the 5/8 Dollar General ad

• Gatorade -- on sale for $1 per 32 oz bottle.  Use the 25 cents off DG digital coupon to pay 75 cents out of pocket.  Next, submit your receipt here for a coupon for another FREE 32 oz bottle of Gatorade.  So that's like two bottles for a final price of 75 cents, or just 38 cents apiece!  NOTE: If you're not familiar with how Dollar General digital coupons work, go here for my how-to guide!
• Graduation Greeting Cards -- on sale for as low as 50 cents each.
• Pringles -- on sale for 95 cents per can, plus on a Buy 3 Get 1 Free sale.  So buy four for $2.85, or 71 cents apiece!
• Clover Valley® Chunk Light Tuna in Water -- on sale for 75 cents per can.
• Armour® Hot Dogs or Bologna -- on sale for $1 per pack.
• Bush's Best® Beans -- on sale for $1.50 per 16 oz can.  Use the 50 cents off DG digital coupon and pay a dollar for yours.
• Clover Valley ® Hot Dog or Hamburger Buns -- on sale for $1 per pack.
