Dollar General Ad 4/14: Best Sales & Deals

Here are the best deals I spotted in the special three-day Dollar General ad for April 14 - 16, 2016.

Don't forget all of the sales available in this week's ad are still going on as well!
If you plan to become a regular couponer at Dollar General, I strongly recommend building a personal relationship with your store's general manager so the cashiers don't freak out at the sight of your coupon binder.  

Bringing a copy of the Dollar General coupon policy is always a smart idea too!  The policy updated back in December 2014, so you might need to print yourself a new copy.

Best deals in the 4/14 Dollar General ad

• Betty Crocker Hamburger or Tuna Helper -- on sale for 75 cents per box.  Buy three for $2.25, then use the 75 cents off 3 coupon from the 3/6 Smartsource insert.  You'll pay $1.50 out of pocket, and then you can submit for this 50 cents off 2 Ibotta rebate.  So your final price drops to 3 for $1, or 34 cents per box!
• Powerade -- on sale for 65 cents per bottle.
• Clover Valley Cookies -- priced as low as $1 per box, plus on a BOGO 50% off sale.  So your price could drop as low as 2 for $1.50, or just 75 cents per box!
• Clover Valley Crackers -- priced as low as $1 per box, plus on a BOGO 50% off sale.  So your price could go as low as 2 for $1.50, or just 75 cents each!
• Spaghetti-Os -- on sale for 75 cents per can.
• Slim Jim Beef Sticks -- priced at $1.10 each, plus on a Buy 3, Get 1 Free sale.  So buy four for $3.30, or 83 cents apiece!
• Kellogg's Cereal -- assorted varieties priced at $1.85 per box.  Use this $1 off coupon (points required).  Your new price drops to 85 cents!  If you aren't signed up to collect Kellogg's Family Rewards points yet, it's a free program -- go here to sign up.
• Ritz Crackers -- on sale for $2 per box.  Buy two and use the 75 cents off 2 coupon from the 4/10 Smartsource insert.  Your price falls to $3.25 for two boxes, or just $1.63 apiece!
• Cheetos -- on sale 3 bags for $5 (normally $2.95 per bag.)  So that works out to $1.67 per bag!  Must buy in quantities of three to receive discount.
• Clover Valley Bottled Water -- 24-count packs priced at $2.50 each.
• Iams Dry Dog Food -- 3.3 lb bags on BOGO sale 2 for $5.95.  So that's like paying $2.98 each for yours!
• Sparkle Paper Towels -- 6-count packs on sale for $4 each.  Use this $1 off coupon to pay $3 out of pocket, then submit for this 25 cents Ibotta rebate good on ANY brand of paper towels.  Your final price falls to three bucks!
• Xtra Laundry Detergent -- 144 oz bottles on sale for $3.50 apiece.  Submit for this 25 cents Ibotta rebate good on ANY brand of laundry detergent and get yours for $3.25 instead!
• Hefty Tall Kitchen Trash Bags -- priced at $5.95 per box (normally $7.)  Use the $1 off coupon from the 3/20 Red Plum insert, then submit for this $1 off Ibotta rebate.  Your final price drops to $3.95!
