Kettle Chips Class Action Settlement: $20 Back On Select Purchases

It's time to check your stockpile -- if you have purchased bags of Kettle Chips in the past, you may be able to submit for up to $20 in reimbursements as part of a new class action lawsuit settlement.

The class action lawsuit charges that "Diamond Foods (the manufacturer of Kettle Chips) mislabeled and misbranded its Kettle Brand® products by making false and misleading statements on package labels." 

"Diamond Foods denies it did anything wrong, defended itself throughout this litigation, and asserts that its marketing and labels were truthful and consistent with the law."
Diamond Foods isn't admitting any wrong-doing but has agreed to settle the lawsuit with a mass payment of $3 million.



Shoppers who purchased bag of Kettle Chips "labeled as "All Natural," "Natural," "Naturally," "Made with All Natural Ingredients," "Natural Promise," or any other derivation of "natural," "nothing artificial," "no preservatives," "non-GMO," "non-GMO ingredients," "only natural colors and flavors," "natural flavors," "A Natural Obsession," "real food ingredients," "Reduced Fat" and/or "___ % Less Fat," from January 3, 2010 through February 24, 2015 are eligible to claim up to $20 in reimbursements.

You can request reimbursement of $1 per bag for up to 10 bags purchased without a reciept.  If you purchased between 11 and 20 bags during that time period, you can request additional reimbursement when you submit receipts.

Either way, you'll need to submit your claim by August 1, 2015 in order to receive your money back.
