If you plan to become a regular couponer here, I strongly recommend building a personal relationship with your store's general manager so the cashiers don't freak out at the sight of your coupon binder.
Bringing a copy of the Dollar General coupon policy is always a smart idea too! The policy updated in December 2014, so you might need to print yourself a new copy.

- Brach's® Maple Nut Goodies -- priced at $1 per bag. Use this 50 cents off coupon and pay 50 cents for yours.
- Hunt's Canned Tomatoes -- select 24 oz cans on sale for 85 cents each. Buy four for a pre-coupon price of $3.40, then use this Buy 3 Get 1 Free coupon (sort by Food to find it fast.) You'll pay $2.55 out of pocket, and then you can submit for the 50 cents off 3 Checkout 51 rebate. Your final price drops to $2.05 for all four cans, or just 52 cents apiece!
- Kraft® Macaroni & Cheese Dinner -- on sale for 75 cents per blue box.
- Nissin Chow Mein -- on sale for $1 per tray. Buy five and use this Buy 4 Get 1 Free coupon. Your new price drops to $4 for all five, or 80 cents each.
- Alpo® Variety Snaps® or Alpo® Wholesome Biscuits -- on sale for $2 per box. Use the $1 off coupon from the 4/26 Smartsource insert and pay a buck for yours.

This price isn't listed in the ad, but here's a deal to consider:
- Gain Moonlight Breeze Flings With Oxi Boost & Febreze Freshness -- 14-count bags for $4.55 each.
- Buy six bags for a pre-coupon price of $27.30.
- Use four $2 off coupons from the 4/12 Red Plum insert, along with one $3 off 2 coupon also from the 4/12 Red Plum insert.
- Those five coupons knock your price down to $16.30, and then your $5 DG coupon should print at checkout.
- So that's like paying a final price of $11.30 for all six bags, or $1.88 each!
