National Coffee Day 2014: Top Freebies, Sales, & Deals

Monday, September 29 is one of my favorite food holidays to celebrate -- National Coffee Day!

And like in years past, 2014 National Coffee Day has a few freebies, deals, and sales you should be aware of.

Check out the roundup below!  Keep in mind that not all stores will be participating in any single deal -- so I recommend calling ahead to verify your neighborhood store participates before heading out:

• Dunkin Donuts -- Snag a free medium cup of Dunkin’ Donuts hot Dark Roast Coffee on National Coffee Day, with no coupon or additional purchase necessary!  Limit one freebie per guest, so don't think you'll be able to walk in and snag free coffee for the entire office (unless of course, you bring them all with you.)  The rest of the week, Dunkin' will be offering their medium Dark Roast Coffee for just 99 cents per cup.
• Krispy Kreme -- Participating locations will be passing out a FREE 12 oz cup of brewed coffee to customers, with no coupon or additional purchase necessary.  If you don't like brewed coffee, you can also snag a 12 oz mocha, latte, or iced coffee for just $1.

• McDonalds -- Pick up a FREE small coffee now through National Coffee Day during breakfast hours only (I think that means up through 10:30am.)  You should be able to snag this either in store or through the drive-through.

• Starbucks -- There are two separate deals running right now, and both should continue through National Coffee Day!  First, Starbucks stores have brought the Sweet Receipt program back for a limited time.  Just make any purchase -- a coffee, a newspaper, whatever -- in the morning.  Then bring your receipt back after 2pm and get the pastry of your choice for just a buck!
• If you prefer brewing your Starbucks at home, there's also a current Starbucks rebate available on K-Cups, ground coffee, and even VIA Ready To Drink coffee, good for a free $5 Starbucks gift card when you buy two participating products.  Go here for details.

I'll be keeping watch for additional National Coffee Day deals or freebies to pop up between now and Monday!  In years past, Shipley's Do-Nuts has also participated, and I would be shocked if we didn't see a few coffee coupons between now and September 29 as well.
