Well, here's some good news for Big Lots shoppers and bargain hunters! Effective today, September 25, Big Lots has announced a new price matching policy on identical items found at lower prices in competing stores.
You must find the exact same item Big Lots offers -- including same brand, size, weight, quantity, color, flavor and model number -- for less elsewhere, and be able to prove it either through an ad or a photo taken at the competitor's store.
However, Big Lots will not price match offers that include highly promotional limited pricing -- like Black Friday deals -- or that list a percentage-off or dollars-off without giving the actual sale price of an item.
It DOES look like Big Lots will price-match online pricing, as long as the retailer also has physical stores in the same zip code as your Big Lots location.
In other words, you can probably price match from Target.com or Walmart.com, as long as there is a physical store near your Big Lots location! Sweet!
Will this new policy make you more likely to shop at Big Lots? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this in the comments section.
