National Doughnut Day 2014 Freebies: Krispy Kreme, Dunkin Donuts, & More

Friday, June 6 is National Doughnut Day 2014, which means we have several food freebies to choose from that day!

I don't know about you, but I am happy to celebrate nearly any made-up food holiday imaginable, as long as it also brings me a free snack.

But I especially like National Doughnut Day due to its history -- it was actually founded back in 1938 by the Salvation Army, as a way to raise support and funds for needy Americans during the Great Depression.

  • Dunkin Donuts -- Free doughnut with purchase of any beverage.  Go here to find your closest location.
  • Krispy Kreme -- Free doughnut of your choice when you claim this Facebook offer.  You'll receive a coupon in your email that you can either print or show to the cashier on your smartphone.  One free doughnut per customer; no purchase necessary.
  • Shipley Do-Nuts -- Free doughnut and free small coffee available at participating stores from 5am through noon.
