I was pleasantly surprised to find that the 4-count packs of Colgate Total travel-size toothpaste tubes are part of this week's Extra Bucks deal at CVS!
From now through Saturday, May 3, you can snag $2 back in Extra Bucks when you purchase these 4-count packs, which were priced at $3.39 each at my store.
And even sweeter, the CVS magic coupon machine is printing out coupons for $1 off $3 or more for toothpaste or mouthwash for some of us!
So here's the deal you can put together with the right mix of coupons:

So here's the deal you can put together with the right mix of coupons:
- Colgate Total Multipack -- 3oz pack priced at $3.39, with $2 back in Extra Bucks.
- If you receive the $1 off $3 CVS coupon, stack that with the 75 cents off Colgate coupon from the 3/30 Smartsource insert (this was a regional coupon, but we did receive it in the San Antonio Express-News inserts.)
- You'll pay $1.64 out of pocket, then you'll receive $2 back in Extra Bucks.
- So that's a profit of 36 cents!
Note that the 75 cents off Colgate coupon excludes travel sizes -- however, I asked my CVS store manager how these scanned, and he said that since the multi-pack was a total weight of 3 oz that the coupon was perfectly acceptable to use.
If you don't receive the $1 off $3 CVS coupon, your 4-pack will be 64 cents after Extra Bucks. So that works out to 16 cents per tube, which is still a pretty sweet deal.
