Well, it sounds like we have discovered why the Walmart.com site was offering crazy-good deals this morning (that coincidentally made my Facebook page blow up with folks trying to get a Cricut or Cuttlebug for just $4.80!)
No, the site wasn't broken into by some programming evil genius/extreme couponer -- Good Morning America is reporting it was an internal glitch that caused super-expensive items to drop up to 90% off their retail price (and other less-expensive items to suddenly spike 10 times in value!)
This does not bode well for holiday shoppers wanting to use Walmart.com for Black Friday and Christmas deals -- it's actually the second time in less than three weeks that Walmart has blamed 'glitches' for big price drops.
The first time was when the Disney Infinity Starter Kit suddenly dropped 80% in price, from $74.99 down to just $12.96.
Walmart honored many of those deals for their delighted customers, but hasn't made a decision yet whether they will honor the 'glitch' price for customers today.

"We experienced a technical error that caused some items to show incorrect pricing," Walmart said in a press release. "We are working quickly to correct the error and during this time, there may be intermittent site availability. We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers."
