Thanksgiving Sales 2013: Which Stores Open On Thanksgiving Day?

Shoppers who need or want to shop on Thanksgiving 2013 have more choices than ever this year.

Whether you need last-minute groceries for your Thanksgiving meal, want to get a head start on your Black Friday shopping, or just need a breather, there are loads and loads of stores open for you.

Here's the complete list of which store is open when on Thursday, November 28, 2013:

 Stores Open All Day Long on Thanksgiving Day 2013
  • Bass Pro Shops -- open 8AM to 6PM, but their Black Friday sales don't start until Friday, November 29 at 5AM.
  • Big Lots -- open 7AM to 11PM
  • CVS -- open regular hours, although some pharmacies may be closed.  Freebies here!
  • Dollar General -- open 7AM to 7PM
  • Family Dollar -- open 8AM to 6PM
  • HEB -- open 6AM to 2PM for most locations
  • Sprouts Farmers Market -- open 7AM to 2PM on Thanksgiving Day
  • Starbucks -- most non-mall stores will be open close to regular hours, although the terrific doorbuster tumbler deal won't go live until Black Friday itself.
  • Walgreens -- open regular hours, although some pharmacies may be closed.  LONG list of freebies here!
Stores Kicking Off Black Friday Sales on Thankgiving Night 2013
  • Hastings -- opens at 1PM, but their Black Friday sales won't start until 7PM.
  • Michaels -- opening at 4PM Thanksgiving afternoon.
  • Toys R Us -- opening at 5PM Thanksgiving afternoon.
  • Best Buy -- opens at 6PM, but door passes could be handed out as early as 4PM in front of the store.
  • Sports Authority -- open from 6PM to midnight, then closes until 6AM on Black Friday.  Sports Authority is one of the only chains to be price-matching competitors over the holiday shopping weekend.
  • Walmart -- first wave of Black Friday doorbusters launches at 6PM.  Don't forget to print your Black Friday store maps before you head out!
  • Old Navy -- opening at 7PM.  Don't forget they're giving away a million dollars to one lucky shopper that night!
  • Anna's Linens -- opening from 8PM Thanksgiving to 1AM Black Friday, then reopening at 5AM on Friday, November 29.
  • Bath & Body Works -- some locations opening as early as 8PM, while others are opening at midnight.  Check with your local store! 
  • Belk -- doors opening at 8PM Thanksgiving night.
  • JCPenney -- opening at 8PM, although their free Disney snowglobe giveaway won't start until 4AM.
  • Kohl's -- opening at 8PM Thanksgiving evening.
  • Macy's -- doors open at 8PM.  Don't forget to print your $10 off $25 coupon!
  • Office Depot -- open 8PM to 11PM Thanksgiving, then reopening at 8AM on Black Friday.
  • Office Max -- opens at 8PM Thanksgiving night.
  • Sears -- doors open at 8PM.
  • Staples -- doors open at 8PM.  Staples has the best price on the Kindle Fire this year, as a FYI.
  • Target -- opens at 8PM as well.  Don't forget to get your Black Friday Target store maps before you drive out to the store!
