Family Dollar Ad 9/1: Best Labor Day Deals & Sales

Here are the best deals I spotted in the Family Dollar ad for September 1 - 7, 2013.  And yes, stores will be open for Labor Day!

As always, I recommend you print out the Family Dollar coupon policy and keep it in your binder for future reference. 

Don't forget you can stack Family Dollar coupons with manufacturer coupons for the best deals -- just be sure to read the fine print before you shop, as there are often limits on like items bought per transaction. 

Best deals in the 9/1 Family Dollar ad

• Mighty Dog wet dog food -- on sale for 60 cents per can.  Buy six cans and use this $1.10 off 6 coupon.  Your price drops to 42 cents per can.
• Chef Boyardee canned pasta -- 15 oz cans on sale for $1 each.  Buy four and use the 50 cents off 4 coupon from the 8/4 Smartsource insert.  Your price drops to 88 cents per can.
• Dawn dishwashing detergent -- 12.6 oz bottles on sale for 90 cents with in-ad coupon.
• Suave twin-packs of deodorant -- on sale for $2.50 each, with $2 back in Family Dollars when you buy two in the same transaction.  So buy two twin-packs, and use two 50 cents off coupons from the 8/25 Red Plum insert.  You'll pay $4 out of pocket, then receive your $2 in Family Dollars towards a future purchase.  So that's like paying $1 per twin-pack!
• Bar-S franks -- 12 oz packs on sale for $1 each.
• Cinnamon Toast Crunch or Honey Nut Cheerios cereal -- on sale 3 boxes for $6, must buy three for sale price.  Use three of this $1 off coupon (requires multiple computers) and get yours for a buck per box!
• Red Baron pizza -- on sale 2 for $6.  Use this $1 off 2 coupon and pay $2.50 each for yours.
• Bar-S shaved ham or turkey deli meat -- on sale for $3.50 per pack.  Use the 75 cents off coupon from the 8/25 Red Plum insert and get yours for $2.75 instead.
• All backpacks or lunch kits -- on sale for 50% off, with regular prices starting as low as $6.  So sale prices will start at $3 and up!
• Scoop Away cat litter -- 28 lb boxes on sale for $10.  Use this $2.50 off coupon good on Scoop Away and a 12-count pack of 9 Lives cat food (priced at $4.65.)  Your price falls to $12.15 for both items after coupon.
• Huggies big pack of diapers -- 62 to 86-count boxes on sale for $19.  Use the $3 off coupon from the 8/18 Smartsource insert and get yours for $16.
• Luvs box of diapers -- select sizes on sale for $16 each, with a free 77-count Luvs Ultra Clean Wipe Refill (valued at $2.25) with purchase.
