That's because Charming Charlie just announced that all clearance items will be marked down an additional 50% off, in order to make room for new fall styles to come on the floor!
Here are a couple of tips to shopping a clearance section for gifts you'll be giving in a different season:
- Stay away from very seasonal colors. For the most part, pastel and neon colored jewelry and accessories are worn in the spring and summer -- so for greatest flexibility, look for goldtone or silvertone pieces, or pieces in neutral colors like black, brown, or blue.
- Shop with a complete list. Clearance sales are a great way to grab teachers' gifts and white elephant gifts, so make sure you think through all those possibilities before you hit the store!
- Check your items carefully for quality issues. Returns on clearance can be problematic, especially if you'll be giving them as gifts months down the line. So make sure there's no loose pieces or chips on the jewelry before purchase.
