Walgreens Ad 5/12: Best Coupon Deals & Sales

Here are my picks for the best deals in the Walgreens ad for May 12 - 18, 2013.

Freebies in the 5/12 Walgreens ad

• Crest Pro-Health Clinical toothpaste -- on sale 2 for $7, with $5 back in Register Rewards.  Use two of the $1 off coupons from the 4/28 P&G insert, and get both tubes for free!
• Oral-B Pro-Health or 3D White Vivid toothbrush -- also on sale 2 for $7, with $5 back in Register rewards.  Use two of the $1 off coupons from the 4/28 P&G insert, and get both toothbrushes for free.  Note:  You cannot purchase the Oral-B and the Crest Pro-Health deals in the same transaction; only one $5 Register Rewards would print.  So split up your transactions in order to get both sets of freebies

Best deals in the 5/12 Walgreens ad

• Nestle, Skittles, or Starburst candy -- on sale 2 for $1.  If Skinny Cow is included (it's a Nestle brand), buy two and use the BOGO coupon from the 4/28 Smartsource insert.  Your price drops to 25 cents per candy bar.
• Children's summer toys -- Buy 2 at $1.99 each, get 1 for free.  So that's like paying $3.98 for 3, or $1.33 per item.
• Pretzel Crisps -- on sale 2 bags for $5.  Use two $1 off coupons and drop your price to $1.50 per bag.
• Sunny Smile 2X laundry detergent -- 50-load bottle on sale for $1.99.  That's just 4 cents per load -- terrific price!
• Alka-Seltzer Plus cold relief -- on sale for $4.99, with 1000 Balance Rewards points back.  Use the $2 off coupon from the 5/12 Red Plum insert, and your final price drops to just $1.99.
