Starbucks Donation Drive For West Explosion Relief Efforts

Calling all couponers -- I was in my local Starbucks this morning, and saw they had started a donation drive for the community of West, Texas this weekend.

I think this is a terrific opportunity to help families who lost their entire houses in this week's fertilizer plant explosion there.

Here are some items that the community currently needs:

• household items (things like toothpaste, shampoo, baby care products, etc.)
• canned goods
• bottled water

If you have a stockpile at home, please consider going through and pulling some items for this donation drive!    If you don't, here are a couple of free or super-cheap deals available in stores this week that you could snag for donations:

• Loads of freebies -- available at Walgreens through Saturday, April 20 only.
• Clorox wipes -- currently free at Target after coupons.
• free tote bags -- available at multiple stores April 21 or 22.
• Crest mouthwash -- available for free at CVS starting Sunday, April 21.
• U by Kotex feminine hygiene supplies -- available for free at CVS starting Sunday, April 21.
• Peanut butter -- available for free at Walgreens starting Sunday, April 21.
• cases of Nice! bottled water -- available for $1.99 per case at Walgreens starting Sunday, April 21.
