Spring Bloom Deal: Free Herb Plant Giveaway March 9

Here's an awesome freebie for San Antonio residents into gardening -- you can score a free herb plant on March 9 at the San Antonio Water System free Spring Bloom event!

 The Spring Bloom event kicks off at 9am, and the first 1500 attendees can choose from the following free plants:

  • Crete dittany oregano (although this is in the oregano family, it's described as an ornamental plant without a lot of taste -- so don't snag this one if you wanted to cook with it.)
  • English lavender, 
  • Barbeque rosemary (I checked, and you can cook with this!)
If you bought these plants online, it would cost you between $13 and $15 per plant, so getting them for free is a great deal if you ask me.
