Lean Cuisine Recall: Glass Fragments Found In Some Packages

Time to check your freezers -- Nestle has issued a recall for 500,000 boxes of Lean Cuisine frozen entrees, after several customers reported finding glass fragments in their food.

The glass fragments were found in boxes of Lean Cuisine Mushroom Mezzaluna Ravioli and were traced to two separate production codes.

Here's what you need to look for:

Look for the production code on the right flap of the box, down below the ingredient statement and by the proof of purchase panel.

The two production codes involved in the Lean Cuisine recall are 2311587812 and 2312587812.  Both have a Best By date of December 2013.

If you find any of the recalled Lean Cuisine boxes in your freezer, don't eat them -- instead, call Nestle Consumer Services at (866) 586-9424 or email leancuisine@casupport.com for more information.

Nestle will send you out replacement coupons for free Lean Cuisine, and they may also send you shipping materials in order to return the product for further examination.

I know a lot of us bought Lean Cuisine on sale in January, so please don't forget to check your freezer if you think you might have these at home!
