Dollar Tree has updated their coupon policy on their website as of December 10, 2012, and there are some great changes that will make couponing at the chain more profitable for many shoppers!
Remember, it always takes some time for updates to reach all cashiers, so I strongly recommend printing a copy of the new policy for your binder and bringing it with you on your Dollar Tree couponing trips.
Here are the highlights of the new coupon policy:
- We accept coupons for over a dollar on a single item. The coupon value will be reduced to the purchase price of the item. This should resolve the problems some of you have been having with using $2 off 2 or $1.50 off 2 coupons at Dollar Tree.
- Coupons for free items are only accepted if a purchase is required to get one free (for example, Buy One Get One Free offers). This is great because previously cashiers were refusing BOGO coupons.
- We accept up to two (2) Internet Coupons per household per day. This had originally been two printable coupons per transaction, but from what I've heard in the stores, some really enthusiastic couponers had been doing extreme amounts of multiple transactions, which holds up the checkout line considerably when you only have one or two cashiers working.
