Target Ad 8/9: Best Sales & Deals

Here are the best sales and coupon deals I spotted in the Target ad for August 9 - 15, 2015.
Texas shoppers, remember that Tax Free weekend is August 7 - 9 this year!  So I recommend shopping these deals on Sunday for the best prices.

Before you prep your shopping list, make sure you read the changes to the Target coupon policy, so you won't have any nasty surprises at checkout.

Best deals in the 8/9 Target ad
  • Save $10 Off Home Purchase of $50 -- clip in-ad coupon or text COLLEGE10 to 827438.  Includes bedding, bath, furniture, and home decor; excludes kitchen products, organizational products, patio furniture, and storage products.
  • Save $25 off Home Purchase of $100 -- clip in-ad coupon or text COLLEGE25 to 827438.  All the same categories are included/excluded as the $10 off $50 coupon.
  • Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser Shampoo -- on sale for $2.99 per bottle, with a free $5 Target gift card back when you buy four in the same transaction.  So buy four for a pre-coupon price of $11.96, then use two $3 off 2 coupons arriving in the 8/9 Red Plum insert.  You'll pay $5.96 out of pocket for all four, then get your $5 Target gift card back for next time.  So your final price drops to just 96 cents for all four bottles, or a mere 24 cents each!
  • Kellogg’s Cereal -- assorted varieties on sale for $1.99 per box.  Use this $1 off coupon (points required) and pay 99 cents instead.
