Here's how the math works out:
- Colgate Toothpaste -- select varieties on sale for $3.50 per tube, with $3 back in Register Rewards.
- Use this $1 off coupon (sort by Personal Care to find it fast.)
- You'll pay $2.50 out of pocket, and then you'll receive your $3 in Register Rewards for a future purchase.
- So your toothpaste is free, and you've made 50 cents in profit on the transaction!

Remember you can only earn one Register Reward per like product per transaction, and many Walgreens stores limit how many Register Rewards you can earn per individual product per day.
