Dollar General Ad 10/23: Best Halloween Sales & Deals

Here are the best deals I spotted in the Dollar General ad running 10/23 - 10/29/16.

If you plan to become a regular couponer at Dollar General, I strongly recommend building a personal relationship with your store's general manager so the cashiers don't freak out at the sight of your coupon binder.  

Bringing a copy of the Dollar General coupon policy is always a smart idea too!  The policy updated back in December 2014, so you might need to print yourself a new copy.

• Armour® Potted Meat or Vienna Sausage -- on sale 2 cans for $1, must buy in quantities of two to receive discount.  So that's just 50 cents per can!
• Clover Valley® Chunk Light Tuna -- on sale 2 cans for $1, must buy in quantities of two to receive discount.  So that's just 50 cents per can!
• Libby's® Canned Vegetables -- on sale 2 cans for $1, must buy in quantities of two to receive discount.  So that's just 50 cents per can!
• Truvia Natural Sweetener -- 30-count boxes on sale for $2 each.  Use the $1.50 off coupon from the 10/2 Red Plum insert (this was a regional coupon, so not everyone will have received it.)  Your new price drops to 50 cents per box!
• Werther's(® Original®) Candy -- priced at $1 per bag.  Buy two and use the $1 off 2 coupon from the 9/18 Smartsource inserts.  Your new price drops to 50 cents apiece!
• Campbell's® Condensed Soup Cream of Chicken or Cream of Mushroom -- on sale for 75 cents per can.  Buy five cans and use this 75 cents off 5 coupon.  Your price drops to $3 for all five cans, or just 60 cents each!
• M&M's®, Snickers® or Snickers® Crisper, 3 Musketeers®, Twix®, Milky Way® or Milky Way® Simply Caramel -- 6-count packs priced at $1 each.  Buy two for $2, then use the 50 cents off 2 Dollar General digital coupon.  Your new price drops to $1.50 for both packs, or just 75 cents each.  NOTE: If you're not familiar with how Dollar General digital coupons work, go here for my how-to guide!
• Clover Valley® Hot Dog or Hamburger Buns -- on sale for $1 per bag.
• Clover Valley® White Bread -- also on sale for $1 per loaf.
• Fanta®, Barq's®, Mist TWST®, Mtn Dew® Voltage or Code Red® or Crush® -- 2-liters on sale for $1 each.
• Halloween Glow Accessories -- on sale for $1 each.
• Halloween Treat Bags -- on sale for $1 each.
• Kraft® Jet-Puffed Marshmallows -- on sale 2 bags for $2, must buy in quantities of two to receive your discount.  So that knocks your price down to $1 per bag.
• Mountain Dew® or Pepsi® 2-Liters -- on sale 3 for $3, must buy in quantities of three to receive discount.  That's just $1 per bottle!
• Pillsbury® Funfetti® Cake Mix or Duncan Hines® White Cake Mix -- on sale for $1 per box.
• Trick or Treat Buckets or Bags -- on sale for $1 each.
• Wolf® Brand Chili -- on sale 4 cans for $4, must buy in quantities of four to receive discount.  So that's a buck per can.
• Minute® Rice -- on sale for $1.75 per box.  Use the 50 cents off coupon from the 9/11 Red Plum insert.  Your new price drops to $1.25.
• Nissin® Top Ramen® -- 12-count boxes on sale for $1.95 each.
• Nestle® Fun Size Assorted Candy -- on sale for $5 per bag, plus on a Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale.  So buy three bags for a pre-coupon price of $10.  Use the $1 off 2 coupon from the 10/23 Red Plum insert (this coupon is regional, so not everyone will have received it.)  Your final price drops to $9 for all three bags, or $3 each!
