Rumor has it that the May 15 newspapers are going to have another big round of coupon inserts!
Word on the street is we will see two Red Plum inserts and one Smartsource insert this weekend (if you don't know what that means, go here for my how-to guide.)
So that means you definitely need to make a point to pick up a couple of newspapers on either Saturday, May 14 or Sunday, May 15!
(Local readers, remember that the San Antonio Express-News Saturday edition does in fact come with coupon inserts.)
As I often say, not getting coupons is one of the biggest mistakes a couponer can make!
Here are some of the big name brands we may see in the May 15 coupon inserts:
- Save $2 off Huggies Little Movers or Little Snugglers
- Save $2 off U by Kotex
- Save $2 off OxiClean HD Laundry Detergent
- Save $1 off Ragu Pasta Sauce (this may be a regional value; I suspect we may receive a lower value or perhaps a 75 cents off 2 coupon here in San Antonio)
- Save $3 off Schick Hydro or Quattro
- Save $1 off Scott Toilet Paper
- Save $1 off Scott Paper Towels
- Save $4 off Allegra
- Save $2 off Gillette Disposable Razors
- Save $2.50 off Pampers Diapers or Training Pants
- BOGO Eckrich Sausage (I think this will also be a regional coupon; we don't usually see this coupon here in San Antonio)
- Save $4 off 2 Garnier Whole Blends
- Save $4 off 2 L'Oreal Advanced Hair Care
- Save 50 cents off Pure Silk Shave Cream

Remember, I always urge shoppers to physically verify that all of their expected coupon inserts are in the paper before purchasing.
In other words, be sure to stand there and flip through the paper before you check out -- it will save you a lot of heartache!
I also recommend that you snag one set of inserts for each member of your household. So for example, if you have four family members in your house, you would want to get four papers.
That way, you will have enough coupons to really stock up when a terrific sale rolls around!
